Venture Panel At New York Comic-Con? Yes!

Adult Swim Central has the inside scoop on this year's upcoming Adult Swim related panels at NYCC which includes, drumroll please, a Venture Bros. one! Guests will include some guys named Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. I don't know, I'm sure they're involved with the show in some way. The panel will beFriday, October 8th at 8pm in the Special Events Hall:

Come see Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer talk about all things Venture, show some clips and take audience praise and questions. Season 4.5 of The Venture Bros. premiered Sunday, September 12 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim. The Venture Bros. first premiered on Adult Swim in August 2004 and has been a fan favorite ever since.

There will also be a signing with Jackson and Doc the following day, October 9th, at 11am (until noon) in room 1C01.

Any Which Way But Zeus Promo

Hot on the heels of the Dragon*Con video we have the promo shown after Pomp & Circuitry for the next episode, "Any Which Way But Zeus". Looks like some stuff's going down:

Venture Bros. Dragon*Con 2010 Video

Satisfy your burning desires for more Venture with an official video of the hijinks filled Dragon*Con panel. Also if you have burning desires you might want to get that checked out. Sounds infected.

Butter-Glider Is Online

Right on schedule Adult Swim has posted the season premiere of the Venture Bros. online for those who are able to watch such things (it's generally limited to people in the US). So if you haven't seen it or just need to rewatch for free, there you go!

Discussion: Pomp & Circuitry

Oh, fancy seeing you here! It's time for our weekly open discussion of Venture Bros.. This week's episode is entitled "Pomp & Circuitry". As always, keep discussion civil and try not to be a jerk. You're all good kids though, so I'm sure there won't be any problems. Also fair warning: the comments will likely be full of spoilers, so if you haven't seen the episode yet then you might want to take that into consideration. Don't forget to vote on the episode after you've seen it!

This episode will be online on Adult Swim Video in a week and a day (9/27) but last week's episode will be up on the site tomorrow. It will probably be on iTunes at some point tomorrow as well.

And finally if you're desiring even more Venture, I have podcast interview with series creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer from Friday and you also have until Wednesday to enter to win a Monarch tshirt.

The Mantis-Eye Interview With Jackson & Doc

If you read this site with any regularity then they are two guys who need no introduction. Jackson and Doc. Not only do they make The Venture Bros., but they also happen to be pretty damned hilarious and pretty nice guys to boot.

Back when I was trying to come up with some cool stuff for the Five Years thing the most obvious feature was of course an interview with Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. It's something I've wanted to do on the site for a long time (since the gap between seasons one and two) but I just never got around to or even thought was possible.

I would have settled for a written interview, but thanks to the awesome generosity and kindness of Jackson & Doc we all get to experience those guys answering my weird questions in audio form. Basically everyone wins.

Season 4.2 Trailer 2.0

Not to be outdone by the original Venture Bros. season 4.2 trailer, Adult Swim has recut a new one which delves even further into the upcoming episodes. As with many trailers it does contain scenes from upcoming episodes, so if you're trying to avoid that sort of thing you may want to avert your eyes. IF YOU DARE!!

Thanks to Robert and BP in the comments for mentioning this!

The Next Giveaway! Shirt!

Phase two of Five Years: Weekly Giveaways starts now! Or rather it started 22 minutes ago. Today's prize is a crazy (and apparently rare) cream/beige Monarch t-shirt with art from the season two DVD by Jackson himself! If you entered to win the season one DVD you have to re-enter for this one, so go, enter now!

The Diving Capsule

As often happens during new episodes, the full capsule for The Diving Bell Vs. The Butter-glider is up. Feel free to post (or email if you're shy) and corrections, additions and so on. Enjoy!

Pomp & Circuitry Promo

Adult Swim has put up their promo of "Pomp & Circuitry" that aired after the last episode. Warning: contains spills and thrills!

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
