<![CDATA[First Still From The Venture Bros. Movie]]> Sat, 18 Feb 2023 10:26:00 UTC Mike Jackson has tweeted the first still from The Venture Bros. movie. Along with an image from the pilot episode, "The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay" which aired twenty years ago back in February of 2023. Safe to assume the movie will come out some time later this year, but nothing specific has been announced yet! Happy 20th, all!]]> <![CDATA[Venture Bros. Christmas Song 2022: Peril Of The Bells]]> Mon, 19 Dec 2022 06:28:00 UTC Mike Happy Holidays, once more, Venture fans! While there hasn't been really anything to report on over the last year, at least not as it pertains to The Venture Bros., there is finally some new Venture content to enjoy. Enjoy "Peril Of The Bells" as performed by Jackson and Doc. Many thanks, as always, to Ken Plume for bringing these to us. The full collection of Venture Bros. holiday songs can be found at his Patreon.

<![CDATA[Happy Holidays, Venture Fans!]]> Thu, 23 Dec 2021 00:42:00 UTC Mike The Venture Bros. continues, we have at least one fresh piece of content we can enjoy before the show's final bow in the form of a movie. Over on Ken Plume's Patreon you can find the latest Venture Bros. holiday song: "A Spaceman Came Travelling". As an added bonus there apparently was a song in 2019 as well, which I somehow missed. That one is "Last Christmas" as sung by Shore Leave and Shallow Gravy. Ken has also graciously provided a handy zip fie of every Holiday-related song from years past, so you can spend a few minutes listening to all of them. Thanks to Jake for informing me of this. Everyone stay safe out there!]]> <![CDATA[Venture Bros. Movie Greenlit]]> Wed, 12 May 2021 17:11:00 UTC Mike tweeted out an announcement that a Venture Bros. movie has been greenlit! Not a ton else to report right now, but here is a brief description that I swiped from this Polygon article (thanks to Venturion for passing me the link):

Doc’s latest invention will either bankrupt the Ventures or launch them to new heights, as Hank searches for himself, Dean searches for Hank, The Monarch searches for answers, and a mysterious woman from their pasts threatens to bring their entire world crashing down on them.

No word on release dates or anything like that, but stay tuned for more news of course. WarnerMedia's programming upfront is scheduled for May 19th and we could learn more then. We're not done just yet!]]>
<![CDATA[Venture Bros. To HBO Max In The Works?]]> Tue, 17 Nov 2020 01:20:00 UTC Mike Andy Forssell, EVP and GM at WarnerMedia, who is also in charge of HBO Max, has tweeted out the following:

Obviously nothing final or confirming, but encouraging none the less! Keep an eye on this space, or whatever your favorite Venture Bros. news reporting website might be, for more as it develops!

<![CDATA[Cancellation Confirmed By Jackson, Adult Swim Responds]]> Tue, 08 Sep 2020 03:19:00 UTC Mike Over on the Twitter, Jackson has confirmed the news that Venture Bros. was cancelled, which includes the in-progress season eight:

However, Adult Swim has responded to the outcry with some small glimmer of hope:

What this may turn into remains to be seen of course, but it's possible the the show at least gets a proper sendoff in some format or another. Stay tuned!

<![CDATA[Venture Bros. Possibly Cancelled]]> Mon, 07 Sep 2020 00:17:00 UTC Mike Friend of the show Ken Plume made a couple of Tweets last night:

There's been no official confirmation anywhere as best I can tell, though a concerned reader did write me to let me know:

Anecdotally: I have a friend who works for Turner, and he says Adult Swim is facing a massive downsizing in staff, scope, and programming. This is all speculation of course, but I do have a bad feeling.

I have no way to verify any of this of course, and no idea what this means for season eight or beyond of the show.

<![CDATA[Venture Bros. Season 7 on DVD and Blu-Ray]]> Fri, 07 Jun 2019 21:01:00 UTC Mike Venture Bros. season 7, it was released in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats a few days ago (June 4th, to be precise)! Sorry for missing the exact date! However, head over to you favorite purveyor of digital video discs and grab a copy. Over on Amazon they can be had for $18.99 for the DVD version and $24.99 for the Blu-Ray.]]> <![CDATA[Venture In The New Year]]> Wed, 19 Dec 2018 15:49:00 UTC Mike The Venture Bros. starting in January! The only catch it is will be airing Sunday mornings at 5am (eastern)... which is also Saturday night depending on how late you stay up. Either way, it's a great way to watch the show in its natural environment; live on a television with commercials and everything! Weird!

The whole thing kicks off with "Dia de los Dangerous!" which airs at 5am on January 6th (the night of January 5th, if you're inclined). You can also catch replays of the end of season seven at the much more reasonable time of 12:30am on Sunday nights, though I'm not sure if they'll air the entire series in that far more coveted time slot just yet.]]>
