"The photo Phantom Limb pulls out was last seen in "The Invisible Hand of Fate" where we learn the origin stories of Billy and Phantom Limb. It also connects Jonas Venture Sr. with Phantom Limb and Professor Impossible (both of whom would later go on to teach at State University)."
If you're talking about the photo of the Boy's Brigade, then the episode is Now Museum -- Now You Don't! Sep. 23, 2010, 2:38pm

Nice job, especially the montage images. A couple of things- first, in the scene with Brock and the rookie, you'll notice that only Brock is trapped with the Swiss Gorilla Guard. The rookie is safe behind a set of bars. Coincidence? Also, I'm assuming they are in the Vatican's catacombs, as there is allegedly all sorts of ancient relics and secrets down there. As for who pooped in the Council chamber, I think it's supposed to be Phantom Limb, as a sign of disrespect.
One last thing- the Brisby, GCI, Impossible Building (I forget the name) is based on to the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA. Sep. 23, 2010, 4:34pm

There wasn't much space between the bars and that door. One of those pole arm type weapons could still certainly reach him. Can't tell if they're Lucern Hammers, Bec de Corbins or something else. I haven't played D&D for a long time and those were never our weapons of choice anyways.

"This was covered at some point in the past but the Diamond Dogs (seen for the first time in this episode) are a reference to the 1974 David Bowie album of the same name."
I believe we see a diamond dog in season 4.1's 'The Revenge Society' right at the start of the episode , though the dog does look slightly different than in this episode. Sep. 24, 2010, 10:21am

Two things to note:
Pomp and Circumstance is actually played twice in the episode, by the learning beds when they dispense diplomas. Might be worth mentioning that in the capsule since you mention that it's based on a famous tune, but not that we actually hear it in the episode.
Also, we have seen Brisby since season 1. He was in the Now Museum episode, at least, and maybe another. We haven't heard him speak, but this isn't the first time we've seen him since then. :) Sep. 24, 2010, 12:47pm

Nobody seems to have mentioned Hank has visited Brigadoon. The comment references the Lerner and Lowe musical about the Irish village that vanished into the mist and only reappears for one day every hundred years. The Venture family must have an excellent schedule to know the exact time and location to have made it there.

When Brock complains about his rookie partner he asks if SPHINX found him at the Albert Merrill school. The school is one of the for profit institutions that advertises on television promising a degree in some field of technology without the extra classes in arts and languages that public colleges offer. The sad fact is the majority of students never get anywhere close to graduating and are saddled with large student loans. The ones who do graduate are often lacking in any real useful technical knowledge and unable to find a job in their field. Being cannon fodder next to Brock would be a likely outcome for a graduate from such an institution.
