Shirt Club Henchman 21 Contest At SDCC

For those of you who are going to SDCC and attending the Venture Bros. panel (with Jackson, Doc and Patrick Warburton) if you are also into the costumed play Jackson posted details about the Henchman 21 contest that will take place after the Venture Bros. panel, Friday at 12:15pm (it ends at 1pm). Basically, if you dress up as Henchman 21 then you have a chance to be in the photo for the last Shirt Club shirt when it goes up Sunday night at midnight. So dust off your yellow jerkin and orange cardboard wings (or whatever other Gary costume you might have) and get ready! Head on over to Jackson's LiveJournal (or his tumblr, if you prefer) for the full scoop.

Not Going To Comic-Con? Win Signed Stuff!

With the season five finale coming up and Comic-Con happening this weekend to go along with it, we've achieved a perfect storm of Venture Bros. goodness. However, if you can't get out to Comic-Con, or if you can't get a ticket for one of Jackson and Doc's signings, here's a remedy for that. Maybe. Win some signed stuff instead! Sure, you won't get to meet Jackson and Doc, but you'll get to pretend that you did. Or you can just say you won something, which is pretty impressive itself. I never win anything.

At any rate, win some stuff signed by Jackson and Doc (probably) in celebration of season five's closing and Comic-Con's inevitable bounty of panel videos! Do it!

Venture Bros. SDCC 2013 Schedule

For those of you going to SDCC this year I've compiled the usual list of Venture-related panels, signings and whatever else. Mostly there are two signings (though the Adult Swim one is on Thursday) and the usual Venture Bros. panel that will also include Patrick Warburton (he voices Brock, but you knew that) along with Jackson and Doc. As far as my own status goes, I won't be attending SDCC this year, but I'll be with you in spirit. However I do hope to have something ready in time for SDCC that my fellow non-attendees will hopefully enjoy. Stay tuned!

SDCC runs from Thursday, July 18th until Sunday, July 20th.

Venture Bros. Timeline Graph by anchorboi

If you visit the Venture Bros. sub-reddit you may have already seen this, but redditor anchorboi put together an awesome timeline of character appearances by episode. He was nice enough to let me host it here, so you should check out the full thing if you want to see a cool (if not overwhelming) graph. Enjoy!

Slate Interview With Jackson and Doc, Plus Clips!

Going for a one-two knockout punch, Slate's culture blog, Brow Beat, has a podcast interview with Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer as well as two exclusive clips, to boot. While I won't go posting the podcast willy-nilly pretending this is the only place to get it, I have no such compunctions about the clips, so here they are. These are probably spoilers to some, so be warned! Enjoy:

Check out the full article to listen to the podcast, or you can head directly over to Soundcloud if you prefer. "Bot Seeks Bot" airs this Sunday at midnight.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
