Okay, but who's the lady who gave Dean the job and how'd he get it? I'm not so clear on that... Did Prof. Impossible fire all of his employees now that the Revenge Society is getting started up? That's the closest to a conclusion i could draw there. But then still, how did Dean get the job without anyone at Impossible Industries talking to his dad or Prof. I about it?

i understood it that when Dean asked the lady about his dad "Dr. Venture" she said she'd never heard of him because she had probably never heard of him, likely because Rusty never achieves anything. Kind of like the "I thought she meant your brother" thing.

Yes, very cool cameo. I'd seen a clip of that Spider-guy, Brown Widow, saving the cab before & I hated the character cause I was assuming the webbing came outta his ass. Nice to see instead the webbing came outta his lower back & then just Nathan Fillion playing him that way, stopping to talk to troubled citizens like Dean & then having that crazy showtunes thing going on with Dr. venture. Man, good times, that!

You're just lucky to not have seen a little show on the Independent Channel called The Open Window, iirc the name is something like that. They had this tiny bit with superhero try-outs, very much like this episode of the VB's, & there was a sad & pathetic spider-guy that had to tug his shitting & weak webbing outta his ass.

I know Doc & Jackson like to get their influences for the VB's from some pretty strange places, so I figured they took their concept of the Brown Widow from this show, it made me so sad until I finally saw it tonite & realised everything is right in the world again.

There was no other way it could've ended.

I had all kind of crazy theories too, but really when you think about it, our Dr. Venture would totally try to kill his alternate self & get beat up in the process, only to get returned back to his own dimension no worse for wear.

That was amazing, just as good as last week. An amazing song, the revenge society got two great new members(or is it three?).
Plus nathan fillon was good for the bit he was in there, especially where he just joins in.
It was also great to FINALLY see dean get annoyed with his dad. This is also one of my faviorites, just like last week. This is the best season of the show by far and the deepest in terms of charicter development.
Oh and one last note:Brick Frog get's my vote for best incidental charicter ever. I really do wish they'd picked him.

That was the perfect way to close the Dr. Venture coming out of a alternate dimension cliff hanger from last episode!

The VB writers are genius! The real Venture tried to kill his obviously more successful alternate dimension counter part with a rock & take over his life!

This time....I thought it was entirely too predictable. If you thought of any other outcome may have happened, then you don't watch the Venture Bros. enough. I like how the writers like to pull my leg, but when you see it coming from a mile away, it is much less satisfying. It was an uncreative way to wrap up that loose end; I have come to expect more from Jackson and Doc.

Your possibly crush on Girl Hitler aside it would actually work. If you think about it Rusty's Psyche makes for both tragic(his childhood) and hilarious(his opinion of himself and those around him.) would make great material. I might even write it myself, I'd just need some help with the music, but it'd be hilarious.

The Polygamist wasn't on screen long...so I may have missed the joke. Did they have any superhuman powers? The only thing I noticed was that the polygamist had 4 arms. Gams are legs....wouldn't a poly-gamist have multiple legs? They just confused me.

It was perfect that AlternaDoc just dropped Rusty back in "our" dimension and gave him a well-reasoned chewing out. This show is about Failure with superheroes, SF and adventure stories as the backdrop. Hell, AlternaDoc isn't even who Rusty wants to be, he just wants to take it easy and ride his dad's coattails.

However, it does open up the concept of the VB Success Universe to fanfic and fan art.

Right he was just plotting out their vengance but I think he was overstepping. While using the moppets to take out dr.girlfriend would have worked, the others wouldn't have.
1)J.J. probably already has tubes and has for a while and even he would check where he's getting his stuff.
2)Phantom Limb wouldn't even get in the building to off girl hitler, but he probbaly could take her out in her hotel.
3)the guild wouldnt drop that quickly and even if somehow they did, Bowie and co would immeditly realize it was phantom limb considering they not only know he's loose but has his own team. BOwie would probably just take the fight to him, as crimosn mantle and dragon both saw impossible and most likely informed the guild. Limb was just bein cocky.

Ive worked out a time line for both episodes. It took me a while and it's not perfect but I think it's pretty good. Feel Free to point anything out or add to it. So witout delay
.(Begining means where it started, Ending(When it's complete) is where it ends(I.E. the begining of Hanks and the ending of Dean City.) D referst to dean and H refers to hank though both likely occur simntaisouly most of the time.:
The Begining
Begining)Dr.Venture, Dean and Hatred all depart for NYC, Venture demands hank have a job by the time he get's back.
D1)Dean begins his internship with the Prof, to the Proffeser's suprise. Meanwhile Doc falls in love with Broadway.
H1)Hank starts HankCo in his dad's abcense.

H2) Venture and Hatred return and check out hanks new store. Venture get's his shit back while Hatred samples the menu.
H3)Hank begins to investigate the case of dermotts mom and finds a much more appealing case.
D2)Dean gets a new roomate that night.....his dad. He's not pleased.
H3)Hank discusses his new case with the alchemist that night:Is Dermott really Brocks son? the duo decided to do a little snooping. Also Hank flirts with dermotts sister. Score.

Day 2
D4)that day, the revenge society continues theire schemeing with dean unaware. Phantom Limb explains the S.P.A.W.M. system(Speed, Power, Air, Water(or any other elemental), Magic.) to his teamates while impossible reveals a trapped Cody. Oh and Dean takes a lunch break and is told by his dad to make some copys. And he's working on a musical about his life. Doc also has a near death experince.
H5)Hank and Al spend the morning investigating Dermotts mom. None cops to sleeping with her, least of all dermotts mom.
D5)Dean finds out about the revenge society and promplty flips out. He's knocked unconsious after trying to defend himself.
H6)Hank and Al decided to pay Dermott a visit. They have a tense chase and Dermott is caught... stealing video games. Hank has Al rough him up a bit and he spills that the Brock story is what his mom told him, and gave him a Venture Compound Key. Then Al punches him for being a dick and Hank apoligizes for making an adult punch him to Dermott. Dermott adimits he had it coming.
D6)Dean awakens to find himself in the impossicar. Impossible feeds dean a sob story about the villans needing work and even gives him a promoton. Dean comes home to find ventures blocked up their bathroom to his rage.

Day 3
H7)That morning or afternoon or whatever, Hank and Al stop by Sgt.Hatreds Brand New HankCo Hashhouse for some coffe and end up getting a tip from billy that Nicky, dermotts sister, may have some info. Hank decideds to visit her that night.
D7)Meanwhile Dean spends the day working for impossible with their aplicants. They interview people such as the Poligamast, with his magic underwear, the glorious Brick Frog, Fat Chance who can pull stuffs out of his belly button, Lady Hawke and Lydon Bee, who are a hawk by night and a bee by day respecitivly. Also so random creepy guy in a blood soaked bear suit.
H8)Hank arrives at nickis with flowers, and the two chat... and they she and Hank make out and promptly have sex. Didn't see that one coming. Meanwhile the Alchemist and Orpheous find out just who Dermotts dad is and it's.... Doctor Venture, and Nickys his mom. Apperntly Venture boned nicky when she was 15 and gave the fictels hush money or face jail time. Nickys mom helped her distraught daughter by raising dermott as her own. The two sorcerrers are distrubed by this.
D8)Back at casa de dean, Doctor Venture begins writing his opening number for the musical while Dean goes out to the rafters and has a heart to heart with spider super hero Brown Widow. Widow asks him about his super science goals and dean reveals he thought it'd be diffrent with Impossible but it's the same. He really wants to be a boy reporter, but their chat is interupted when Widow is inchanted by Doc's song and joins him, even removing the mask. Dean leaves to go resign and Doc's found his rusty, not quesitong why a random guy in a costume is in his son's apartment.
H9)Hank and Al rendevous and Hank is as pleased as punch, he had sex. But when he touches a still inchanted key he promplty vomits. In the hat, it's what started this.
D10)Dean types up his resignation letter as Imposible and Co use dr.ventures musical as a lure to get him to impossible plaza. With new members fat chance and lydon bee in tow they jump doctor venture and almost have him... until fat chance trips and drops venture into his naval. Meanwhiel Dean finds cody when the power goes out and frees him, thinking him trapped. this promplly burns down the building as the society and dean presumibly escape.

H10)That Morning Hank has his memory wiped. While he's sad about loosing the sex memory, he would rather not know about dermott. And Al learns he left his boyfriend for shoreleave, and he'll thinnk his boyfriend left him after it's all over. Oh and hank got laaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiidddddddddddddd.
H11)Right before the ending, Past Hank and Present Hank talk via commnicator watch, with Past Hank naming the file Dean Face Fault in order to get his future self to watch. He reveals they had sex and it was great, but he can't know the rest, he doesn't want to. Oh and Hank should get his ass to mars. Just Kidding.
Finale)Dean walks into the boys bedroom with his face chared. His super science career is over but he may have gotten his dreams from the ashes. As for hank from what he hears his summer was pretty amazing. Then through the portal a mysterious doctor venture with hair appears thorough a portal and deposits our rusty, who apperetnly tried to kill him because he had more money, success, hair and a hit play on broadway!
THE END.

If you'll notice from dean's monlouge there were at least four days between episodes, meaning that it was more like a week overall, with as noted in my time line three or four days. Dean probably was supposed to be there for the whole summer but the fire and everything, along with his resignation, ended the internship.

I can believe that The Revenge Society has some way to take over the monitor, but the notion that they took the time to disguise knockout gas as a cab decoration when they could have just put a tank under the back seat is a bit hard to believe. Maybe Impossible has a backstock of crowns and crosses and tiki dolls that spew knockout gas?

They're costumed nemesises. Without the razzle-dazzle and overelaborate plans, they'd be the guy in the bear suit.

Dean's apartment is in a bad part of New York so I'm not sure any taxi Rusty got there in the middle of the night would've been safe.

He let some random stranger come in and sing with him and didn't ask any questions. This is also the man who's lost at least two kidneys. Rusty is not very smart when it comes to those things.

I know. That's why the Revenge Society had to send a cab for him. Otherwise he might get mugged or kidnapped and then how could they get their revenge?

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
