"This was covered at some point in the past but the Diamond Dogs (seen for the first time in this episode) are a reference to the 1974 David Bowie album of the same name."

I believe we see a diamond dog in season 4.1's 'The Revenge Society' right at the start of the episode , though the dog does look slightly different than in this episode.

Fairly sure they're In Shadowman 9 right at the begining when Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend are fighting all the Guild people but they're just not named.
