Update of the Century-y-y-y

Jackson's House Of Pancakes And Also Waffles If You Ask Nicely (And Probably Some Venture Bros.) has a big ol' update on this lovely week and some change away from the start of The New Season, otherwise known as the second half of season four. Update includes news that they're almost done cutting together the final episode of the season (which is an hour long for those who missed that news). There's also a collage o' awesome which contains scenes from things seen in the Comic-Con trailer as well as some new stuff (do I spy the return of Girl Hitler? I think I do!).

Also for the completionist in all of us Jackson has been kind enough to reveal the names for all the episodes. These are listed in the order they will air:
  • "The Diving Bell Vs. The Butter-glider"
  • "Pomp & Circuitry"
  • "Every Which Way But Zeus"
  • "Everybody Comes to Hank's"
  • "Bright Lights, Dean City"
  • "Assisted Suicide"
  • "The Silent Partners"
  • "Operation: P.R.O.M."
Note that proper nomenclature dictates you put TV show individual episodes in quotations and the title of the series in italics, even if I don't follow those rules on this site at all times. Now, let the speculation begin!

Venture Bros. Panel at DragonCon 2010

Adult Swim.com has put up their DragonCon Page of Dragons with all their panels which includes, as you might have guessed, one starring Jackson and Doc! The panel will be on Saturday, September 4th at 1pm in the Hyatt Regency Centennial 2-3. Panelists will be Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer and moderation will be done by Ken Plume of FRED Entertainment fame. Expect to see more sneak peeks at the upcoming season followed by Jackson and Doc answering potentially inane questions! Good times.

After the panel, at 2:30pm (that's September 4th for those of you not paying attention) in the Hyatt Regency 5 Jackson and Doc will also appear to sign your stuff! What will they sign? DVDs, Blu-Rays, toys, probably whatever you give them. You can also probably take your picture with them if you're into that.

DragonCon takes place in Atlanta, GA and runs from September 3rd to 6th.

Adult Swim Shop Venture-nanza

Presumably in celebration of The New Season Adult Swim Shop is all decked out in Venture Bros. merch, some of it new (or new to the store)! Okay actually there's only one new item, a SPHINX t-shirt for $18 but you can also buy Bif Bang Pow!'s Monarch, Brock, Dean and Dr. Venture for a cool $20 each. For those keeping track that's slightly more than they cost at Entertainment Earth however EE only sells the figures in packs of two, so this way you Monarch haters can finally get a Dean/Dr. Venture set without encouraging them to make any more Monarch merchandise.

AS Video Interview With Jason Lenzi

From Comic-Con Adult Swim Video has a quick interview with Jason Lenzi which you can watch below:

By now the Venture Bros. figures are in the hands of many (myself included), so what do you guys think? Also for some sweet retrospective action feel free to reread (maybe for the first time) the two Mantis-Eye Jason Lenzi interviews. They're classics!

Sideshow Collectibles to Make Venture Bros. Stuff

Thanks to Chandra Free for mentioning this on her Twitter as it appears Sideshow Collectibles has a video up where they talk about their new licenses, one of which is The Venture Bros.. That portion of the video begins at 1:30 or so. Only mentioned thus far are Brock and Molotov items, which given Sideshow's catalog will likely be statues of some sort, though they do also make figures. All will be revealed in time.

'Separation Anxiety' or 'Buy Buy Buy'

For those of you waiting on buying the Venture Bros. figures, Entertainment Earth just put up singles of each figure, meaning you can buy them alone rather than in an arbitrary set of two. They're all $16.99, which is odd considering the two packs are $37.99, meaning you save $4 if you buy them separately (aside from the Henchmen). However singles of 21, 24 and Dean are currently sold out (and Brock is nowhere to be seen) but you can still totally buy a lone Monarch if you want.

Update (8/8/2010 11:51am): It's been pointed out to me that the single figures are cheaper because they are not in mint condition, meaning their packaging is probably folded or dented, which is something collectors don't like. Thanks guys!

Also Amazon has the season 4, volume 1 DVD up for the low, low price of $17.99. Obviously it won't ship until around October 26th, but it's there if you want it. Blu-Rayers will have to wait until the full season four set is out, which is likely to be around spring 2011.

Season 4.2 Comic-Con Trailer

And to finish off the video update Comic-Con trifecta we have the season 4.2 (or season 4, volume 2, if you prefer) trailer that was shown at Comic-Con. Thrills, spills and chills. Probably anyway, I am actually posting before even getting a chance to watch it. I think we can safely assume that it's awesome and go about our day though. Oh, you want to see it? Alright fine.

Adult Swim Comic-Con Panel Video

On the heels of the Venture Bros. panel video comes the generalized Adult Swim panel video. Jackson & Doc are there but you also get Tom Root, Matt Senreich, Seth Green and Brendon Small which isn't too shabby. Enjoy!

Venture Bros. Comic-Con Panel Video

As Jackson promised the Venture Bros. panel from this year's Comic-Con is already up on Adult Swim in video format. I know, you've probably already seen the various handheld filmed ones floating around, but here's the official one. Enjoy!

The Sketchbooks Are Alright

With the end of Comic-Con comes the end of the Mantis-Eye Comic-Con Giveaway which means no more free sketchbooks! While that's lame for all but the four lucky folks who won, I do have some bonus news for the rest of you. For only ten measly dollars (plus an additional three for shipping) you can have your very own sketchbook complete with sketch of your choice. Not only that but you'll be supporting an awesome artist and guy who helps bring Venture Bros. to life, which would be pretty cool of you.

Meanwhile thanks to everyone who participated and sorry to the two dudes who answered that they were going to Comic-Con. You never had a chance, but I do appreciate your honesty.

It's a month old but there's not much news here for two years at a time, so whatever :) https://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/the-venture-bros/281421/the-venture-bros-season-8-jackson-publick-doc-hammer

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!

I haven't seen a press release yet, but people on reddit say June 4, 2019 is when Season 7 is on bluray. https://www.reddit.com/r/venturebros/comments/b14aa2/june_4_2019/
