Discussion: Assisted Suicide

Howdy folks, it's that again; your weekly Venture Bros. discussion thread. Feel free to say whatever you like about the latest episode, "Assisted Suicide". Newcomers be warned, if you haven't seen the episode yet, the comments will contain spoilers, so enter at your own risk!

And for those of you who may have missed it, you can still enter to win a Brock Samson shirt and don't forget to vote in round two of Heroes & Scientists.

Heroes & Scientists: Round 2

Round two is up for your voting pleasure! Most of the matches in round one were blowouts, except for two: Brown Widow vs. Pete & Billy (Pete & Billy escaped with a 4% victory) and Doe & Cardholder vs. The Action Man which was won by an even narrower margin of a mere 2% points by The Action Man. The second round promises even more action and excitement, so go vote!

Season Finale On November 21st

The hour-long finale of what has been a very lengthy season four for The Venture Bros. will air on November 21st (four weeks after "The Silent Partners") at the usual time, 11:30pm. This is reflected on Adult Swim's extended schedule which was updated today.

Well, Who Won?

In a battle of magic guys with powers we don't even know the true limits of yet, The Sovereign, David Bowie himself, defeated mystery man Dr. Henry Killinger (and his magic murder bag). Killinger put up a good fight, losing by only a 6% margin (which worked out to around 40 votes), but in the end the Thin White Duke emerged triumphant. You can view the complete bracket to see just what went down.

Also don't forget to keep voting (one per hour) in the Heroes and Scientists bracket. Round one ends Sunday at noon eastern!

Who Would Win: Heroes & Scientists

Hey, remember that thing I promised? With the brackets and the heroes? It's here! Round one starts today and, as with all rounds, will last for three days, ending at noon on October 17th! The heroes bracket promises to be full of good times and protagonists beating each other up in the name of being the best. Sorry if your favorite isn't there, there's just too many guys! Remember you can vote once an hour, so head on over!

Still Continuing To Give Stuff Away: Another Shirt!

What, you thought this was done? Nope, I've still got crap to unload on you guys! In the non-gross way. This week's prize is a Brock baseball shirt, the same one you can buy in adult swim's store! Only instead of paying $25 + shipping you pay me nothing and I send you a shirt. Go enter now!

Bright Lights, Dean Capsule

Guess what, chicken butt, fellas? "Bright Lights, Dean City" capsule is up! You know the drill. Let me know if anything is up and/or missing in the comments or via email.

Who Would Win: Killinger vs. Bowie

The final battle is here! Head on over to vote on the final Who Would Win. The finalists are The Sovereign, head of the Guild and the Thin White Duke versus Dr. Henry Killinger and his magic murder bag. Only one can win!

Also, on a related note, I regretfully inform you all that Truckulese's rise to fame was not a legitimate one. An error in the voting code allowed one sneaky person to stuff his ballot box for his last three battles. He actually was close to Monstroso but his win over Sgt. Hatred was invalid and his near defeat of Killinger was only thwarted when I fixed the error last night. I've decided against restarting any battles or rescheduling anything and we'll just move forward. Sgt. Hatred will be compensated in exactly the same way he was in the series: he'll be part of the good guys bracket! That's right, due to popular demand, a brand new bracket will appear on Thursday, this one with only protagonists (sorry, I forgot 'good guys' was offensive).

But until then get voting on the final! Voting ends at noon EST on the 15th!

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
