Film School Rejects Interviews Jackson and Doc

Film School Rejects has a nice post-season 5 interview with Jackson and Doc that delves into a lot of creative process stuff, as well as fan interaction, budgets and so on. It's a good interview as it's not the typical set of standard Venture Bros. questions which is something I always appreciate.
Excellent interview. It's not often that an interviewer will ask the boys about particular episodes, so it was nice to have them discussing "O.S.I. Love You" and "Bot Seeks Bot" in particular.

Awesome interview! I am thrilled at that last question, I just like having this show in my life. I don't mind the long breaks in seasons either, it makes it that much more rewarding when it comes back and gets even better every time.

Very nice. I would love to see the sort of stuff Jackson and Doc write back and forth to each other. They have such a great rapport.

Thanks for the link, Mike! Another great Jackson & Doc interview! I hope these guys continue their passion to make more Venture Bros for the next 10 years!

Or at least until their heart and soul are no longer in it. I'd hate to see the show be the next Simpsons or Family Guy, though I have faith that Doc and JP wouldn't let that ever happen.

I think a huge difference is that the worlds of The Simpsons and Family Guy remain static, which sort of limits what you can do with them (with a few exceptions). They're also smaller scale; everything is centered around a single family. Jackson and Doc have shown that they're not only willing to change things up as far as the world goes, but also they are remarkably good at switching up a character when they become boring. If the show was still a goofy Jonny Quest parody with Hank and Dean failing to understand anything and Brock killing twenty guys every episode it certainly would have gone the way of those shows, but thankfully it did not!

Damn it, now I'm wishing I had thought of that point for my Hatred piece. Damnit Mike...

I agree, which is why I have faith that they would never let that happen and why they'll end it when they decide it's time to do so and on their own terms. They'd never keep it going just to milk it for all they can.

The way the have continually talked up season six is almost insane.
It has to be the best season... or else now.
The entire season V they talked about how excited they were for six, and all the huge ideas that are flowing into the writing of season six.

It better be fucking amazing!

Hey, I had a cool idea for the season six title sequence. Have the silhouettes of Hank, Dean AND Dermott running across the screen. Maybe have Dermott have to stop before he reaches the other side as he's winded. Or he has a lighter up his cornhole.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
