Continuing the Hank resemblence to Brock issues from last ep:
When the scene started as Brock was checking Hank's scalp it looked like a mother combing her daughter's hair (at least to me)...
Hank is clearly much more athletic / muscular than Dean (as Triana's friend pointed out)...
Hank was gaga over Molotov, even as she treated him roughly (just like Brock)... Jul. 8, 2006, 3:40am

A few things that were awesome in this ep:
Stabbing with the pencil and the resultant "Holy crap, you made me kill Dean"...
Hank's costume when he brought Molotov breakfast...
Hank trying to get "a little more" after being resuscitated...
Brock's target / former teacher being named Hunter Gatherer(s?)...
Brock buckling up after the 2 guys jumped out of the car...
Brock has Molotov's eye ball in a jar in his room... Jul. 8, 2006, 3:36am

I love the teepee joke. Hank has a teepee in his shorts. They're haunted. That part made me laugh til' my foot bled. Man. The episodes just keep getting better!
& I guess the old photo of Triana with some other woman is not her mother, it's her friend. More hilarity. Keep 'em comin', & I'll keep on watchin'.
HOLY CRAP I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

Love the back story on Brock...this episode made him seem like the ultimate bad ass "Do these cigarettes do any thing funny?" ... the animation during that scene (Brock & two agents in car) seemed a bit off, it reminded me of the Tick for some reason ... anybody catch the nod to Apocolypse Now??

If Dr. Venture is a supreme failure, why do they need Operation Rusty's Blanket? It seems like the cloning machines were built by Jonas Venture Sr. ( they run on punch cards! ). Anyway, why does the government need to protect a colossal failure of scientist? There must be something they want to protect.

Just watched it again... a few more great moments:
"Well then maybe in 4 minutes you'll understand"...
Hank's drug-induced dream (little Hank heads for breasts, both of them having smoke come from thier mouths when they talk despite Hank not smoking)...
Brock's James Bond-like stuff (the giant bubble suit, the girl on the beach)...
Hank trying to push Dr. O. out so he wouldn't interfere with him and Mol...
"I thought you guys just liked to dress like idiots"...
Oh, man... there were so many more... Jul. 10, 2006, 8:04am

Fuck what I said earlier.....Assassinanny 911 is now my favorite episode of the Venture Bros. These new episodes seem to be leaps and bounds ahead of the episodes in season 1. And season was fucking great. Molotov Cocktease was funny as hell in this episode. I'm glad they utilized her character to the Max in this episode. In the "Incredible Mr. Brisby" she had kind of a minor role. The haunted pants part was the funniest damn thing i've seen in a long time. That was crazy how at the end that Hunter guy got a goddamn sex change. And what was that shit in Molotov's boots that hank got stuck with???LSD??? He was trippin'. For a minute I thought he had actually killed Dr. Venture because that blade looked real. And he was draggin' it so it thought it was heavy. Why is "Escape to The House of Mummies" titled "Part 2"???Is there a part 1??? Favorite quote....You do not allow Brock to do anything. Everday he lets you live you should bow down and worship him as a god. (I know it's a little choppy. I can't fully remember she said.....)

Okay...maybe you are going to have to dumb it down for me, please..."dead crazy person"...what episode did that hank & brock dialogue come from???I'm thinking hank was refering to the beds that teach them...I'm lost...interesting implications...could brock already be dead...they got the ability to cloane...surely thaddius has been cloned for his many abductions as a kid...or maybe we are just looking too much into this cartoon...but then again...there is no telling how deep the rabitt hole goes...

This episode was a wonderful one and so far, I think my favorite! Brock’s back story is great, but I question the timeline. If Doc is 42/43 (as was mentioned in Mid-life) and was a senior in college when Brock was a freshman (Past Tense), assuming he went into college right out of high school, that’d put him about 3-4 years younger then Venture, about 38/39. You subtract 21 years from that and that makes Brock only 17 or 18 when he meets Hunter there in the beginning of the ep. Depending on when his birthday is, that could work if he got kicked out of college at the beginning of the school year, but he looked like he was in his mid 20’s to early 30’s when meeting Hunter. Not to mention he said he was joining the Army when he left college and that’s a 2 year service. . . So. . .Yeah. And, also, is it just me, or did Brock not seem as interested in Molotov as he was in The Incredible Mr. Brisby? There seemed to be a strong passion there between them in that ep and in this last one, they were more like just friends. Not that I’m complaining. I still thought it great, but I was just curious what others thought about that. I’m also curious if his mother is still alive and if we’ll ever meet her. Yes, I’m obsessed with Brock. I MUST KNOW! =)

Aaah, yes, I did forget. TY for the reminder. . . .Hmmm. . . Wonder why nothing was ever said about either Brock's mother or brother before?. . . .But, I have to say, if Brock's brother ever shows up and has red hair. . . . I am TOTALLY going to freak! LMAO! SEND IN THE CLONES, anyone?? LOL!

interesting comment! Ok, with the Brock\Molotov attraction, I took the initial encounter's passion as a matter of them a) not having seen each other for a long time and b) their unsatisfied lust. After Brock realized Cocktease still was tuna in the can, he went and handled things and seemed to resign himself to the fact.
his resignation is why I think he's not amped up around her.
That timeline question is a good one. I didn't recall Brock's classification being specified but if it was, remember that classification reflects credits (usually within your declared major) and not years. So you can't reliably calculate Brock's age. Jul. 13, 2006, 9:12pm

...uh...wow...
Everybody pretty much said it all.
Q.
Hank is the outgoing "jock" of the two brothers and Dean is the more "effeminate" brains. Why is it that when they play out their romantic ideals, Dean tries to be the tough, protective, heroic manly man (Dean's acting out when he's alone...practicing being "a good boyfriend"...) and Hank acts out as an obediant boy-toy? (what says "yes ma'am" more than a chippendales' outfit? Seriously...just Hank in that get up was enough to make the episode hilarious.)
Given, most guys would probably HAVE to fold under the sharp, pointy heel of Molotov out of survival, but Hank was just a little too into it.
It would have been both funny and sad if Hank tried to take Brock on to win over Mol. Good thing they're clones, though. Jul. 11, 2006, 3:23am

Woo Hoo! Love the show! Love this site.
Alot of the great stuff and references has already been listed. "Boop!" man thats laugh out loud funny.
Anyhoo i think i have a reference thats new for the list: when hank is trying to get rid of Dr Orpheous, he says "I said GOOD DAY SIR!". Im pretty sure this is a direct reference to one of the final scenes from the orig Willy Wonka movie (a personal fav). In the scene Gene Wilder dismisses charlie and grandpa joe with the same furious line as a test.
Doc Hammer and Jackson P freakin rule, their writing is amazing and there references are just perfect.
Now please excuse me, My pants are haunted!!!! Jul. 11, 2006, 10:20pm

Sorry about that, I wish you could edit these comments. Anyway, I liked how this episode pretty much proved that Brock has been deeply affected by the death of the boys. Or at least that seems like the best explaination for his new attitude. Last season he just left the Ventures on their own when he went "camping", this time he made sure to offer them protection.
