Any one remember in the episode I know why the caged kills well Dr Girlfriend knows how to fight and damn well too i mean she has to. My question is why didnt she defend her self against Iggy and that other dude the. Monarch asked her to do somthing which proves the Monarch has relied on her before(in defence) but she didnt.Could she have avoided this because shes pregnant? And she fainted why?

Pretty sure they are going to renew it a lot quicker this time around (assuming they are going to renew it). DVD sales were strong and the ratings were as well. If you remember the first run of season one didn't do so hot in the ratings and the show was on the verge of not being picked up until it picked up ratings steam with subsequent airings.

Still though, even if they greenlit season three tomorrow, it would still be a good eight months at least until we saw a new episode.

I think this post is for us to speculate what the sentence will be for next season.

it could be an anti-cliffhanger

like "Monarch, I'm the one who sent you to jail"

the audience already knows that, so it is anti-climatic in a way

Yeah me too. I liked what they did with the Monarch/Dr.Girlfriend/Phantom Limb situation. But they never really did anything with the Dean/Triana situation other than progress it very minimaly. God I hope the DVD is out soon............

I actually liked Dean's development as a character... in the first half of the season... Venture's grooming him for Super-Scientist Stardom and a few, faltering steps with Triana were actually kind of nice to see. Sadly, the second half of the season more or less ignored Dean, replacing character development with story arcs that seemed designed to place him in ever more screwed up situations ('marrying' Underbheit, having that acid trip adventure into "The Neverending Story", etc.)

I can't help but wonder if the reason for that might lie with Hank. I think it can be agreed upon by everyone that the creators finally got a handle on his character this season, as opposed to Season 1 where Hank was simply the village idiot with the capacity to 'channel crazy dead people'. We finally begin to see the method behind his madness, and I actually began to like Hank after hating him in season 1.

Sadly, I'm not sure they've quite got a handle on Dean, just yet, hence his much more cautious development. Which is sad, since I actually like Dean, and also because he's probably the only major character that hasn't really had his own showcase, yet. A problem which I hope gets remedied in season 3.

Despite the lack of development, though, there are certainly more than a few seeds planted, even so. It's been intimated at least a couple of times that Dean secretly hates the adventuring lifestyle and seems to harbor more than a little resentment toward his father. Given the seemingly inevitable descent into either madness or failure that boy adventurers seem to get into, maybe Dean's beginning to realize that this life isn't all it's cracked up to be... which is ironic, since he seems to have at least some grasp of the 'family business' of SuperScience, but seems to resent the trappings of it (Dressing like Santa's Magic Janitor, being forced into dangerous situations, hiding in barrels, crawling in holes, etc.)

Of course, maybe I'm just reading too much into things...

You know, maybe I'm just reading too much into things, but I can't help but wonder if the thing that Dr. Shiela Girlfriend/Fiance/Wife is hiding is that she actually DID sleep with Dr. Venture.

Think about it. In Mid-Life Chrysalis, Venture certainly seemed to have the impression that 'something' happened. Granted, he was knocked out by the serum in the scene we saw, but who's to say that he was unconscious for the entire night? I'd like to point out here, as well, that, while Venture isn't exactly the most clued in person when it comes to women, I would think that the fact that he does, indeed, remember having sex with 'Charlene', given his numerous comments and not so subtle innuendos to that effect would bear some weight on this matter.

Which does seem to bring an interesting irony to the Monarch's sarcastic comment in "Mid-Life..."

Dr. Girlfriend: "You two actually have a lot in common."

Monarch: "Yeah, we do... NOW!"

Finally, keep in mind that, to Venture, she never, in fact, denied Venture's claim that they did it to his face. She only ever denied that with Monarch, for obvious reasons, but no one else.

Normally, I'd be perfectly willing to consign all this circumstancial evidence to the realm of a plot hole. However, given the almost insane attention to detail and continuity by these guys, I can't help but wonder if all this has been a deliberate effort to justify a claim that's going to completely screw with us by not delivering the (obvious) revelations that a)Dr. Girlfriend was once a Boyfriend or b) that Dr. Girlfriend is pregnant or c) some crazy ass thing regarding Phantom Limb.

Just a thought.

If she slept with him she sure has a funny way of going about it. Knock him out with serum and only then have sex with him? Ignore him completely after giving him the antidote? Never once give an indication that she was interested in Dr. Venture except when "doing her duty" undercover as Charlene?

I'm afraid I just don't see the logic of that particular plotline.

My bets it is either Phantom Limb's baby or The Monarch's baby, and that some of the season three plotline will hinge on that question in a "who is the father" continued rivalry between PL and TM.

You are also missing out on just how clueless Dr. Venture is with women. Myra had to practically rape him to clue him in on her interests. Dr. Venture ran away from Mrs. Impossible last season, and this season Dr. Venture completely missed out on the fact that Mrs. Impossible and Jonas Jr. were hitting it off; he still thought Mrs. Impossible only had the hots for him.

Is it possible that Dr. Venture thinks he had sex with Charlene, and did not, and is simply creating a fantasy out of his serum induced hazy memories?

It is ABSOLUTELY possible.

Although what the hell I can play devil's advocate: maybe she gave Dr. Venture a sympathy lay when he was groggy from the serum, and didn't think he would remember it. That would explain her surprise when Rusty mentions Charlene; she would on that theory be surprised not that Rusty knew who Charlene was but that he remembered the sex.

It's still too long ago though for Dr. Girlfriend to suddenly learn she was pregnant; IMO the options are still limited to PL and TM.

I'm still more inclined to believe that Rusty is suffering from the after effects of the serum and his own wishful thinking. I don't think Dr. Girlfriend likes him that much, not enough to give him a sympathy lay, certainly not when he was unconscious. Well, we might find out next year.

Crazy theory time! What if Dr. Mrs. Monarch really did say she's pregnant? If so, whose is it? Monarch? Phantom Limb? Sovereign/David Bowie? (just kidding!) Dr. Orpheus? (kidding again!) or maybe Dr. Venture? And if it IS Venture, could it be twins? Having twins runs in the family; Hank and Dean are twins, Rusty and Jonas, Jr., and maybe Jonas, Sr. had a twin! If she is prgnant, she's done a good job of not showing it. If she's not pregnant, I have some other ideas:
"... actually a man-turned-woman."
"... bisexual."
"... turning good for a change."
"... a spy for OSI."
"... still technically married to__________." I realize my theories could have some holes in it, but I said they're only theories!

More crazy theories and hypotheses! AS I said earlier, Jonas Venture, Sr. could have had a twin sister who soon became the mother of ... THE MONARCH!!!
Think about it. JJ, Rusty, & Monarch have red hair and pointy goatees w/o moustachs, and Rusty and the Monarch have thin features and similar nose shapes, I think. As I've said before, it's only a theory. Try to prove or disprove 'em at your own risk.

Craziest theory yet:

"I'm Leslie Cohen."

Leslie Cohen, of course, went to college with Rusty and the Monarch, was the object of Mike Sorayama's obsession, and slept with Brock (see Season One's "Past Tense"). I admit she doesn't look much like Dr. Girlfriend, but twenty years later, who knows?

Could the Monarch have also had a crazy obsession with Leslie Cohen? Could that be the reason why the mighty Monarch despises Rusty Venture?

This just hit me this morning out of nowhere while getting ready for work. The theories of her being a transvestite, or pregnant, are just way too obvious I think. Doc and Jackson like to throw curve balls. How about this:

Q: Who forbid Phantom Limb from exacting retribution on the Monarch and from interfering with the wedding, then said he had a wedding to go attend?
A: The Sovereign.

Q: Who showed up at the wedding - and was later revealed to be The Sovereign?
A: Davie Bowie.

Q: Who gave away the bride at the wedding?
A: David Bowie - AKA The Sovereign.

Q: Who traditionally gives away the bride at weddings?

Dr. Girlfriend’s real name is Sheila Bowie. Ta- freakin'- da!

This would be a shock to The Monarch, knowing he was now married to The Sovereign’s daughter (or is he. She never said “I do”). He’d certainly have to treat her good, or face The Sovereign's wrath. And as we’ve seen, he’s not to be trifled with.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
