Venture In The New Year

If you somehow don't have digital copies or DVDs to whatever other media so that you can watch it whenever you want, Adult Swim will be airing the first season of The Venture Bros. starting in January! The only catch it is will be airing Sunday mornings at 5am (eastern)... which is also Saturday night depending on how late you stay up. Either way, it's a great way to watch the show in its natural environment; live on a television with commercials and everything! Weird!

The whole thing kicks off with "Dia de los Dangerous!" which airs at 5am on January 6th (the night of January 5th, if you're inclined). You can also catch replays of the end of season seven at the much more reasonable time of 12:30am on Sunday nights, though I'm not sure if they'll air the entire series in that far more coveted time slot just yet.
Very happy to hear the show is getting more airtime! The show is superior to Rick & Morty (which I also like), yet gets a small fraction of it's airtime. Hopefully VB will stay in the 12:30 slot for a long time so a new generation can fall in love with this show.

It's perverse, I know, and old fashioned, but I like having VB episodes scheduled, and something to look forward to. I have 5 of 7 seasons on disc (courtesy of dvd rental places going out of business) but still like to see VB on the schedule. The show really does deserve a larger viewership. Easily as good as R&M and BoJack.

I haven't seen a press release yet, but people on reddit say June 4, 2019 is when Season 7 is on bluray.

Holy shades of Rusty Venture. A baby was born with a baby growing inside it.

Considering it's in Columbia I wonder if Doctors are allowed to remove the baby inside the baby since that might be considered an abortion.

Got mine from Amazon yesterday. Got a problem though. About 19 minutes into The Unicorn in Captivity on disc 2 it freezes up and then goes to the main menu. It happens just after Copy Cat's chopper lifts the panic room out through the roof. If I try and start off anywhere after that it instantly freezes up.

Anybody else having such issues? I haven't watched every episode yet, just kinda skipping around, so I don't know if it's the only bad spot. I'm wondering if it's just my copy or it's a bad batch. I've had that happen before where the replacement has the exact same problem and I had to wait a couple of months for a new batch.

Also, I already own the streaming version of the season. I still went and preordered the DVD set to keep up the collection and for the "bonus material", which I found to be a little on the light side. I was a bit disappointed. Hearing Cristin Milioti's outtakes as Sirena where she ad libs way more dialog than the script calls for was amusing though. Thoughts? Opinions?

Edit: Fixed it! I should have taken a closer look at the disc first as there was a big old smudge on it. I wasn't expecting that as I had just removed it from the case for the first time and most certainly did not touch the bottom. There are also several small scratches. I always assumed these were inserted into the case by machine, so unless the machine was eating a gooey snack it must have been human hands. Anyway, glad it was something simple.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
