Venture Bros. Renewed For Season Seven!

Looks like Venture Bros. will be returning for a seventh season! I don't recall hearing much about the show not being under consideration for renewal, but it's nice to have official word of it. It's also safe to assume you don't need to hold your breath waiting for it. Based on the production schedule for the most recent season the premiere is likely not going to happen until 2018 at earliest, but we're likely looking at some time in 2019. That's still a ways off, but it's something to look forward to.

Thanks to Thorn and MoosyMooz for sending this in!

While I'm glad it was renewed it really pisses me off that we have to wait YEARS between seasons. I wish AS gave it more love and more $ to have new seasons every year. You know like the love and ca$h FX gives Archer

I almost wish Venture Bros. would move to FX! For the most part, AS has become the Seth MacFarlane channel! How many reruns of Family Guy and whatnot do people want to see? Rick and Morty is the only other good show they're running but it's not in the same league as Venture Bros. Not much IS, unfortunately. I wish AS would get their $hit together...

Oh well, there's my rant on the subject, ha ha ha. It IS great news that we got confirmation and about the DVD/Blu-ray release of the sixth season!

"Rick and Morty is the only good show."

What about 1 punch man, mike tyson mystery squad, squidbillies, Mr Pickles, Hot Streets etc. There's plenty of shows they just don't get as much airtime as the family guy and american dad reruns.

It's not a money issue- Doc Hammer and Jackson Publik take a LONG time to really think through and write this series well. It can be frustrating, but it makes for an epic series. I'm cool with waiting.

Psyched to hear it (finally!)

Now I'm curious if there will be another "special" to wrap up season 6 leading into season 7 (a la All This and Gargantua-2) and when that may air

About time! I wish [as] had green-lit 2 seasons, but I think these contracts are more cookie-cutter than case-based than they used to be (one example is [as]'s forced reduction in episodes per season and holding firm at that number). I'm so excited for more VB and can't wait until the DVD release. We need at least 2 more seasons, but my appetite for VB will never be sated, I want 10 more seasons of this awesomeness!

I predict that season 7 will release October/November 2018.

Unless, they do another hour-long special set for air in 2018.

Then it'll be 2019 for sure. The specials seem to bottleneck the production... b/c Jackson and Doc wear many, many producer hats at once.

Chris... aka Jackson Public was listed as an associate producer on The Tick (2016).

You can watch it right now for free (no prime membership needed) and vote for it.

I thought it had potential. Way too dark and action-y at this point though. Needs more funny.

Oh, and Warburton's an executive producer but that has more to do with him being The Tick on the first live action version.

Which is how he wound up being the voice of Brock Samson, since Jackson has been involved in the writing of every single iteration of "The Tick" since the comics, he meet and cast Warburton b/c of the Tick.

And apparently Jackson and Doc both worked on the original Tick cartoon.
Previously, I was not able to confirm Doc's direct involvement, until now... Ben Edlund just showed off an old unused clip of Tick puppets (filmed for the show) and Doc was definitely working on set.

But yeah, Edlund intoduced Jackson and Doc... so, The Tick... is basically the karmic space daddy of everything Venture.

Neat!

"producer" has become a meaningless title one can bestow on friends, neighbors or stars desperate for affirmation. Being an Assoc. producer doesn't mean Jackson will be spending any or much time on the Tick.

I just went through the standard DVD this weekend and, weirdly, the Gargantua-2 special was completely uncensored. Having read your post previously I was relieved, followed by confused.

The Venture Bros. Panel from NYCC 2016 is archived on Twitch at the mail channel. Some minor spoilers to follow...

Orpheus and Dermott have both been written in to Season 7, though the latter in small doses.

They are finishing working on the scripts and they hope to start production in the next month or two.

They have said this before but the first episode of Season 7 will act as a finale to Season 6. (Much like how the Gargantua-2 special ended Season 5 on a proper note).

They are very conscious that the past two seasons have not had a proper finale and they are trying to fix that in Season 7.

While they have not been renewed for a Season 8, they HAVE NOT been cancelled.

In fact, they said they are specifically not writing Season 7 as if it were the last one.

Finally, The Art of the Venture Bros. is still a go! It has expanded into a much bigger book than they imagined and Ken Plume has been doing the work on it. It has material from all six seasons, and it sounds like an in-depth interview that spans the entire book. Release date and information still to come.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
