Enjoy This SDCC 2012 Discussion Thread

Not sure it's warranted, but here's a brand new discussion thread for those of you who want to post about any news or happenings you hear from SDCC. If you're attending remember to check the Mantis-Eye Venture Bros.-centric SDCC 2012 schedule for all your Venture Bros. needs. Wednesday is preview night and Thurday is usually the slowest day of the public-accessible convention, but you never know what you might see! Things should get hopping on Friday though. Also feel free to speculate on what you hope Jackson, Doc and James will dress up as during the panel and whatever else you want!
Not really comic-con news per se but on [as] just now they had a bump saying that the new season would debut Februaryish. So....hopefully not because one extra month is too long for a junkie needing a fix.

Some stuff I have gleaned:

- No finalized animated footage shown, but a preview with some animatics (including voicework etc) and a few backgrounds and character designs (Pete White as pegasus, apparently?)
- Halloween special on Halloween (duh!)
- Hour-long special airing between season five and six!

Ok, phew, thought they had a full trailer.

Though I do miss Jackson putting up backgrounds like he used to. This show has some of the best art direction.

All excellent news; much better than I had hoped for. I'd rather they just keep rollin' on the show than stop and edit together a trailer just for SDCC. Hour-long special sounds great! I hope this show sticks around long enough to get to 100--22 minute episodes (but I'm not holding my breath). As long as the creators enjoy making it, I'll enjoy watching it.

Anyone followup asking Doc & Jackson about the Dr. Strange movie-makers? I know it's a long shot, but I'd love it if they were involved in the creative process, they know the character, know the story, and have the skill to storyboard it together. Obviously that means it'll never happen.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
