Publick Nuisance: Season 5 Status Report

Short update by Jackson today to remind you of Adult Swim's online panel question submission thing and with some quick notes that season five is moving along:

Doc and I are writing now. And we're writing some pretty good shit, if I do say so myself.

Production on Season 5 will begin very soon. The budget and schedule have been set, we're ordering computers, and we're currently hip-deep in the process of finding and hiring the right artists for the right jobs.

For those of you familiar with the process, once a script is written it generally takes around eight or nine months to become a fully-formed episode since there's character design, storyboarding, voice recording, rough animation, final animation, post-production, music-making and revisions to everything along the way. This is in no way an official estimate, but if we assume production starts in November that means season five will probably begin around September or October of next year (depending on delays and such). Yes, I know, but we've all been here before multiple times. Just hang in there, it'll be worth it!

Any word on how many episodes season 5 will be? If it's 16, will they do that 8 & 8 split with the HUGE gap in between again?

If your guestimate is close that means we'll have new VB to look forward too around Dragon*Con/NYCC time. Should be awesome panels.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
