Shadowlocked Interview With Jackson Publick

If a chat with Jackson just wasn't enough to sustain you then you should check out Shadowlock's interview with the Venture Bros. creator/writer/director/etc. There's a fair bit about the writing process for season five (which has begun but isn't quite in full swing yet) as well as themes of the show, how difficult it's been for Jackson to quit smoking and how they hope the process of season five and six will be different from three and four:

We owe the fans more than 'okay' writing. We owe them our best effort, so we've always tried to hold our own feet to the fire as far as the quality of our work and stuff like that. Sometimes it helps to be under the gun when production is actually moving and sometimes it hurts us. Last season was a little too rough on me in the fact that we were always behind and were constantly late with the scripts and there was never a chance to catch up and feel okay.

There's lots more, so go check it out.

Good interview. Glad to hear that they've been taking it a bit easier this time- I know they put a lot of pressure on themselves with Season 4. I hope Season 6 won't be the last but it depends on how Jackson and Doc are feeling at that point and where the characters are. Specials and stuff like that are nice though. We'll see how things are going then.

I entirely agree with all of that. I would hate for the show to end, but we all know it must at some point.

Yeah, great article all around. And the wait is nothing compared to that long, uncertain one between Seasons 1 and 2 so I can be patient. PS-Jackson, don't take too long. ;)

It's a month old but there's not much news here for two years at a time, so whatever :) https://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/the-venture-bros/281421/the-venture-bros-season-8-jackson-publick-doc-hammer

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!

I haven't seen a press release yet, but people on reddit say June 4, 2019 is when Season 7 is on bluray. https://www.reddit.com/r/venturebros/comments/b14aa2/june_4_2019/
