Report: Seasons Five and Six Will Be Ten Episodes Each

Kevin Fitzpatrick, editor at UGO.com recently tweeted about interviewing Jackson & Doc. However today, after conducting the interview, he let on that the upcoming, recently confirmed seasons will be ten episodes each rather than the usual thirteen (or season four's inflated sixteen). We'll know more when the interview is published, but there you go.

Kinda disappointed about the prospect of 10 episode seasons. Just seems a bit short for a full season. I thought 13 worked great. But I shouldn't complain....more Venture Bros. is the most important thing.

hopefully this means more Venture faster? Disappointed that the seasons are so short but if it means a quicker turnaround time, maybe ti's for the best.

Wasn't the last Metalocalypse season fairly short as well? Is that a new Adult Swim thing or something?

Cartoon Network has been ordering in sets of 10 recently. I know that a few of their recent shows have been in increments of 10, like "Sym-Bionic Titan" and a few of the shows/new seasons announced at the upfront this week. As far as I can tell, though, they're the only network doing things that way...

Look at it this way: the studio is probably more comfortable green lighting a 10 ep season rather than a 13 ep season, so it probably gives some series a better chance at more eps!

If more Venture, faster is a good thing than this is some great news for you. I for one hope thats not the case. I dont doubt jackson and Docs writing prowess but this shows in a critical phase, story wise and I want them to take there time on this to make this show as legendary as possible.

I was impatient as shit for season 3 to finally drop as I had worn season 1-2s discs out, but now that have four to chew on for awhile and I say give these guys time to create

I'm with you Cazmosis. We've waited YEARS to get to thseason 4....I remember watching the pilot, years later season 1, years after THAT 2, It wasn't until this last season that we it wasn't more than a year to wait between seasons....I'm not complaining.; Opposit, in fact: I'm just saying, we always have to wait for Venture, and it's always worth it.

I suspect the seasons are short because Jackson & Doc will be making a 60-90 minute special... thing.

I think this is good. Shorter waits, no split seasons... and hopefully Jackson and Doc won't have to stretch themselves so thin ;)

I liken this to the English tradition of having shorter seasons - fewer episodes often means better episodes. So, ten top notch Venture Bros episodes is always preferred over have an episode or two that you want to skip.

Anything that makes production a little easier on Jackson and Doc wins my hand. The less stressed they are, the farther into the future we can hope for quality Venture.

Also, agreed with Joey.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
