Venture Days Moved To Saturday

For those of you who have been gorging yourself on a double-dose of Venture Bros. the past few Sunday nights at 9pm you should note that there are some schedule changes. The remainder of season one (the last five episodes) will be airing one at a time on Saturday nights at 11:30pm. They also won't be rebroadcast later in the night for you stay-up-late folks, so 11:30 is your only chance to catch them. No word on when/if season two will follow in March since the extended schedule only goes to the end of February. Also you should be careful not to accidentally watch at 9pm on Sundays since you'll end up seeing episodes of Baby Blues and The Oblongs.

Well this is awful. I was enjoying the VB hour to start the Sunday AS block. VB was finally getting some regular exposure time (which it deserves) and they move it. I really can't believe that Baby Blues and Oblongs can give CN better ratings in that time block. The only thing that I can think of that would make CN change the schedule would be them thinking the mature content in VB is too much for the 9pm EST hour. I really wish they'd have stuck with the prior schedule at least another 2 months.

And I third. The only way Baby Blues is better is that it's a crappy family show. I'm surprised they're even letting Oblongs have a chance in the "Bedtime for Junior" spot.

I wish they'd at least finished the season before doing this. Still, any Venture Bros. is better than nothing and Baby Blues isn't bad actually.

Well...I agree, it isn't. It's just that Baby Blues pales in comparison to Venture Bros. for me on every level. I majored in animation, so I could say that I'm just jaded by cliches, which Baby Blues is so full of. Cliches work and that's partially why Baby Blues is successful, I just wouldn't call it fresh.

When I first heard that Venture Brothers was headlining the Sunday AS programming at 9PM I wondered what they were thinking. 9 PM was way too early for something like the Venture Brothers. Still this sounds kind of panicky to me. From two episodes to one and no repeats....

Yeah, Bob's Burgers and Cleveland Show both are pretty bad. Family Guy should be canceled too. American Dad is still fresh enough to stay around though.

Family Guy has stayed a little past its welcome. I think they think they owe it to the fans to stay on air as long as they possibly can now since they were lucky enough to be uncanceled.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
