Let's Watch: A Very Venture Christmas
This is a shorty, clocking in at a mere fifteen minutes (with commercials), "A Very Venture Christmas" is still full of insane references to almost every Christmas special ever and still manages to throw in a Brock beat-down for good measure. Hopefully a part of your new Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) tradition! Feel free to say whatever about the episode and watch along Sunday, December 12th at 10pm eastern and pacific! If you're the type who likes to peep at your presents early you can also watch it here!

If all but the very end of the episode was Rusty's dream, then he must have found out about Sally Impossible being pregnant and knew that Tiny Joseph existed. Maybe he encountered him before? Do Doc and JP consider this episode to be cannon?
Also, there really is an XXX movie called Miracle on 69th Street.... or so I've been told. Dec. 13, 2010, 9:23am

Jackson has always said that the episodes we see are only a small slice of these people's lives, so it's totally possible that Doc had met Tiny Joseph at some point (since he worked for the Monarch it's totally possible he met him many times) and also knew about Sally. It's probably not weird for her to have tried to contact him at some point, didn't she mention something about him not returning her calls or something in "Twenty Years to Midnight"? I don't know.

From your capsule, good sir:
Sally: Dr. Venture! [she hugs him] When you called me I couldn't believe it! You never answered any of my letters, I- I worried you'd forgotten me and moved on. But I never gave up hope. The only thing that made my life bearable was the hope that some day you'd come for me and Rocket!
I love that Sally seems so normal personality-wise but is just an eensy bit psycho. Dec. 13, 2010, 6:00pm

Right. And that was my point. But way, way back when the "Pete White gay or straight" argument was going on, there were those who tried to claim that because most of this episode was a dream, you could not use his hitting on Triana as proof White was straight. But, as it was Rusty's dream, and he's known White since college, he must have know Pete was really straight despite certain traits that might otherwise state the contrary. This was all settled once and for all as far as I'm concerned in Now Museum. "You dream of conquering... the mother from Growing Pains?" Anyone notice the "escort's" head pop up in front of Pete just before the Black Hearts mutated into Ventureflys?

Pete has always seemed to be a straight guy to me. He was obsessed with a girl in college, he's never really showed any interest towards any male character etc. He just has a very odd fashion sense, which I think is mostly due to him originating as a background/throwaway character in the pilot. There have been jokes/accusations about him being gay a few times but I think those are mostly goofs on his lifestyle and the way he looks.
