You'rewelcomesgiving

A friendly reminder, still a day and change to try and win those DVDs signed by Jackson & Doc by making a (no doubt) hilarious comic. Also you have a chance even if you're a third party and have to get into this Ross Perot style because two of them are given to people who didn't win! Also don't forget to help out and vote for your favorites (or sabotage your competition). That giveaway ends at midnight pacific (3am eastern) time tomorrow.

Oh and on top of that there's still two days (and change) to win an official Mantis-Eye mug. That contest only requires you enter your name (or reasonable approximation) and email, so it's easy to enter! That giveaway ends at midnight eastern time, which is 9pm pacific on November 27th.

Aside from that have a great Thanksgiving if you are celebrating it, and if not, have an awesome Thursday anyway!

I started watching the Series over, from the beginning.
It's weird watching the first season now; I watch them with some regularity anyway, but now, after seeing the latest episodes, The Animation seems.....not great, but the humor is far more subtle, and rely's more on the viewer to accept how funny a situation is as a whole, rather than just the jokes themselves.
I.E. a ghost that just stands there screaming, a Disney-esque stroke victem. We just accept all the crazy now, so I guess the scenarios have to just keep escelating to keep it fresh, so it makes sense. I mean, we just accept the Venture world as a place that CAN have super-science, magic, and superheros.
In the first season, it seemed like that world was much smaller than it is now.....Just a pointless observation.

Speaking of rewatches, I just saw a bump saying Venture Bros. won't start over until January 2nd. During December, they will show episodes picked by Jackson.

Yeah, one from each season plus the christmas special. Then they start showing episodes at 9 and 930 on Sundays starting Jan. 2. That's the last thing I saw at least.

This sounds awesome- when did the bump say these Jackson-picked episodes are airing? I'm really curious as to which ones he considers 'Classics'.

The first is "Ghosts of the Sargasso" which airs Sunday at 10pm and the second is "Victor. Echo. November." the following Sunday. Dunno what the next two will be yet!

I think the X-mas special was third, then maybe it's The Lepidopterists that represents Season 3, and Self Medication represents Season 4 (I think).

I said this on another page too, but I really hope they start with the pilot in January. Since they're showing the christmas special in december I don't really care if they include that, but I really want them to include the pilot.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
