Jackson's Favorites, Plus Scheduling

To round off the year, as promised, Adult Swim will be showing one episode from each season as selected by Jackson Publick, plus the Christmas special on December 12th. "Ghosts of the Sargasso" was supposed to air last night at 10pm but Adult Swim played "Dia de los Dangerous!" instead. Oops. But according to the AS schedule the favorites will air as follows: As always you can always consult the Mantis-Eye schedule for this kind of stuff. Then, starting in 2011, Adult Swim will expand to start airing at 9pm (an hour earlier than now) and Venture Bros. season one will air for an hour each night at that time starting with "Dia de los Dangerous!" (again) and "Careers In Science" on January 2nd. So ring in the new year with some super science!

The animation had to have been re-done in some way because Dia de los Dangerous! was in 1080i and 16:9 when I watched it air on Sunday. Was there any previous mention of this happening by Jackson, Doc, or somebody at AS? I hope it will be released on Blu-ray sometime soon because it was a beautiful sight.

I'd have to see it for myself but as far as I know season one and two were not made in HD at all so it must have just been stretched. I recall they had to revise a lot of things prior to season three since it was the first one they were doing in HD.

It was definitely not stretched and could not have been in 480i, let alone a 4:3 ratio. I know Season 1 and Season 2 were originally both broadcast in 480i and a 4:3 ratio, but what I saw Sunday was not.

I can absolutely guarantee beyond the shadow of a doubt that season one has not been re-animated.

I know what I can see recorded on my DVR is a different(larger) resolution and ratio than what I see playing from my copy of Season 1. I didn't mean it was reanimated. It's the same animation, just of better quality. I don't understand this either. I posted me noticing this in my first comment in this thread because it confuses me, that's all. Maybe I'm just as fucking crazy as 21 was...

Woot!

Um...I can do it for seasons one through three, but I actually like too many episodes from season four to have a definitive favorite.

Are You There, God, It's Me, Dean
Twenty Years To Midnight (Assassinanny 911 was a very close second)
The Invisible Hand Of Fate (Tears of a Sea Cow was a very close second)

Blood of the Father Heart of Steel, Return To Malice, Self-Medication, Pinstripes & Poltergeists, Pomp & Circuitry, Bright Lights Dean City, and of course PROM were all big hitters with me with season.

In other words, I guess I can say that season four is definitively my favorite season yet.

Alright,:

Ice Station Impossible (First or second episode I ever saw, either way, show that got me into the series)
Victor. Echo. November.
What Goes Down, Must Come Up (Favorite episode of the series, one that made me a hardcore Ventureoo)
Self-Medication

But maybe my picks should be taken with a grain of salt; I do seem to be in the small minority of thinking Season 3 was far and away the best season thus far.

It's so tough just to pick one from each season. I feel like each season's just gotten better too, and especially season 4 had so many great episodes. Here goes though:

1.)Trial of the Monarch
2.)Love-Bheits
3.)The Lepidopterists
4.) P.R.O.M

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
