Who Would Win: Killinger vs. Bowie

The final battle is here! Head on over to vote on the final Who Would Win. The finalists are The Sovereign, head of the Guild and the Thin White Duke versus Dr. Henry Killinger and his magic murder bag. Only one can win!

Also, on a related note, I regretfully inform you all that Truckulese's rise to fame was not a legitimate one. An error in the voting code allowed one sneaky person to stuff his ballot box for his last three battles. He actually was close to Monstroso but his win over Sgt. Hatred was invalid and his near defeat of Killinger was only thwarted when I fixed the error last night. I've decided against restarting any battles or rescheduling anything and we'll just move forward. Sgt. Hatred will be compensated in exactly the same way he was in the series: he'll be part of the good guys bracket! That's right, due to popular demand, a brand new bracket will appear on Thursday, this one with only protagonists (sorry, I forgot 'good guys' was offensive).

But until then get voting on the final! Voting ends at noon EST on the 15th!

I'm trying desperately to think of competent "protagonists" in this universe. Jonas Jr. is the best I can think of.

Captain Sunshine's pretty competant (minus the Wonderboy fixation). Also, the Brown Widow guy from the most recent episode. There's plenty of good protagonists.

Yeah, 'H'. Now that you mention it there's a couple tough good guys. I don't think the kids are going to win. Maybe Jonas or Cap' Sunshine. Brock will kick some ass too.

For a second I thought everyone, like me, wanted to see the background characters get more air time. We kinda know what Killinger can do, what he wants (to secretly bomb Cambodia of course), and where he goes with his practice. Bowie, you get his records, you know what he's going to do, does he have any other tricks up his sleeve than what we've seen? Probably not. You know how these guys will play out, just the same way Monarch goes through this same routine with different weapons and toys. ...But these other guys.......?

Plugulist, Torrid, Truckules, Manta Claus, Scorpio probably are sleeper heavy hittin' clobber goofs that are ready to come into their own like the Monarch as soon as they can afford a better paint job, or costume and pay for the screen time.

We do, just through legitimate means. If there's anything to learn from the Venture Brothers, it's that characters have to earn their growth. If Hank hadn't commited to the private dick persona in Everybody Comes To Hank's, he might not have gotten up the nerve to have sex with Nikki.

This is more than likely old...but heck I just found it. This reason alone should make Bowie the winner: http://www.funnyordie.com/stories/8332b786d6/so-apparently-david-bowie-is-the-most-epic-man-alive?rel=by_user

Sadly Cody and Barbie Q didn't make the cut. There were just too many guys and I had to do stuff like split up the original Team Venture and the Triad and include some random guys for comedy purposes. Ghost Robot and HELPeR are there however, though the likelihood of them ever battling each other is very low. Sorry!

I can't beleve it's come down to killinger and Bowie.
I can't beleve how close it is between the two of them! I love killinger, but he's not the most cunning or deadly guy, I mean without his magic murder bag, he's just a ponchy guy with a mask, Bowie on the other hand can shapeshift into anything, and that would be a pretty good skill to have in a fight....I'm feeling like 24 now, so I'm gonna' end here.

I get the impression from the few Killinger-centric 'sodes that Killinger may actually be the most ruthlessly cunning person in the universe, though Bowie's probably right up there with him. This should be interesting (I'm rooting for The Duke on this one.)

The unassuming paunch and "such a helpful man" tell a story that is much like the real Kissinger, yet manipulative in a very specialized way. Remember, the killing fields of Cambodia couldn't have happened without Kissinger chipping in his 25 cents.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's running the OSI and SPHINX at the same time.

Hmm. I may have misread Adult Swim Shop's listing.
http://www.adultswimshop.com/cat/The-Venture-Bros/DVD-The-Venture-Bros-Season-Four-Volume-1.html

Still, all the images are single disc and there have been a bunch of single disc releases lately (Superjail, ATHF 7, Titan Maximum, Ugly Americans) so maybe I'm more right than I think I am.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
