The Countdown Begins

Oh hey guys, what's up? Offseason madness is almost over and we're a mere six days (and change) away from eight brand new episodes of The Venture Bros.! What does this mean for you, the viewer? Well, new episodes will air Sunday night at 11:30pm eastern and pacific (you folks in other time zones know the drill) and then again four hours later at 3:30am. If you have Cartoon Network HD then the episodes are only on in eastern time since that channel only runs on one time schedule, so keep that in mind.

As far as online airings on Adult Swim Video, those will appear on Monday a week after they air on TV. So "The Diving Bell Vs. The Butter-glider" is on TV on 9/12 which means it will be on the Internet on 9/20. However episodes will last four weeks, so you'll have until 10/4 to see it online.

Ooooooooooooh man! I am so excited about this.

Hey, I've never watched an episode of the Venture Bros online because of Adult Swim's "you are in another country" deal but didn't they use to put them online before it aired on tv? If that's the case I am glad they changed it. That never made much sense to me.

Anyways, I can't wait to sit down in front of the tv and get me some V.B. radiation.

Yup back during season two they were up the Friday before they aired on TV back when AS Video was 'Friday Night Fix' (remember season two first started airing over four years ago) but AS has since changed policies so for season 3 and 4.1 they were up the following Monday and for 4.2 they are up a week and a day after.

Any idea on the schedule? Like, are the episodes going to be airing every week or is there going to be some weeks where there is no new episodes?

AS hasn't updated their schedule beyond the first four episodes so we don't know for sure. But we do know that the first seven episodes are pretty much done and only the finale is left to do, though that's technically two episodes so it will take longer to complete. So it's likely that the first seven will air in a row (or maybe with a one-week gap in there) and the finale will follow them or be a week behind. Either way I'll let you guys know when I find out!

I think I read something about the first 4 episodes of 4.2 being shown in a row and then a lil' gap between them and the last 4. I don't know where I read or heard this. Maybe my brain just made this up to calm me down. What an informative comment this is! NOT! And now I am going to hit the "post comment" button.

lol, thanks Mike and Donkiku. A one week break is fine. Hopefully it won't be any more than that.

Soooo can't wait. From what I've seen, gonna be the best yet.

Also, I think I saw a different version of this promo on [as] a couple of nights ago. Basically the same stuff but cut out a couple of things and extended a couple others, like who Sgt. Hatred is running from and the zomboys' crawl.

A week and a day after?! That's terrible, why so long? One of my favorite things has always been to rewatch the episode the next night for things I missed online. I guess this will be what finally pushes me to get a dvr. Bah.

Yeah, that's their new policy, which has been in place for a few months now, it's just that it was different last time there were new episodes. I'm bummed too, because those were super good for writing capsules, but I guess we'll all have to adapt.

I don't think it's fair to put the episode online before it aired but having to wait a week and a day is also crazy.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
