Jackson's New Digs
Just when you thought there was nothing left to talk about Jackson comes along with a massive update about season 4.5. There's screenshots, there's news about what they've been up to, there's stuff about the upcoming episodes, there are chills and thrills and spills and a new theme for the place.
So we called the network and asked them if they'd give us the time and money to take the script back and turn it into a one-hour special. And they said yes. Which brings us to...
Also even Jackson doesn't know when the season will start up again, so the August date seems potentially likely. Maybe. Go check it out for more info.- by Hayes

One thing that stood out to me is that Jackson implied the head sculpts of the toys are probably going to change, amongst other things (obviously), where as Jason Lenzi has said in interviews past that the head sculpts are going to stay pretty much the same.

Awe Jackson,
Don't screw us DVD guys by making us buy Both halves of the season seperately!
-Man I hope they hold off on releasing the season, and just do it all at once like they are the blueray, I Can't afford to dish out $40+ just for one season ov Venture....In fact I'm not even sure I'd be willing to if I could. Mar. 28, 2010, 6:22pm

I think we've all been waiting for this update for a looong time. F/X's "Archer" had started to replace VB in my heart of hearts.
Tremedously happy to hear that Jackson and Doc bumped the finale up to a full hour....gad what will I do with a full 45ish minutes of Venture awesomeness??
Love the screen grabs... SPHINX Hank...King Gorilla getting out of the pen...
Can't say I'm excited about Richard Impossible returning. After Colbert (or his douchebag people, whoever) gave our boys the brush-off, that character has left a bad taste with me. Mar. 29, 2010, 4:12am

Going solely by his turn as Officer Slater in Superbad, along with his SNL material, Bill Hader>Stephen Colbert by far. How you can be anything but excited that he's making an appearance on the show, as Professor Impossible no less, astounds me.
Anyway, this entry pretty much got me excited about the show for the first time in a long time; think I'm going to go write that in-depth analysis I've always meant to get around to. Mar. 31, 2010, 5:42am

Awesome news for sure. Like others here, Archer had been filling my cartoony needs, but season 1 is now done and S2 won't be out until next year, I hear.
I apologize to AS for figuring to blame them for the big gap between 4.1 and 4.5. I assumed it was some scheme of theirs to get us to watch some of their other crappy shows. Despite hating the wait, I'd rather have JP and Doc be happy with what they're putting out than push out some mediocrity letdown.
Agree with NOT splitting the S4 DVD set up. I kinda saw that coming, but was hoping my Spidey sense was wrong. I'd rather wait until next spring and get the whole season in one set. I may even get a Blue Ray player by then if there's some price drop before Xmas. Who knows?
I'm still gonna wait until the final action figures are out. I did have the Mego DC and Marvel and Trek action figures when I was a kid (I'd be rich if I didn't lose or destroy them). I just remember them as looking better than what we've seen here so far. I'm sure the final version will be better than the protos, but I'll still wait and see.
Is......JP sniffing dog farts in that last pic? I'm a bit confused. Mar. 30, 2010, 12:52am

It's great to get the update! Super-excited for the 2nd half of season 4.
I'm concerned though: Is this the end of Venture Bros.?? Still no mention of Season 5, hour-long finale for season 4, Jackson+Hammer have mentioned before that they have a idea on how the series would end, etc..............
Anyone else concerned? Mar. 31, 2010, 6:23am

Anyone else glad to hear they have "re-embraced the show's sci-fi/comic book/adventure roots"? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love their building of story and all, but I think if you stick to the roots of it, the show has almost limitless potential and could run for a long time. It seems to me that more in Season 3 and parts of 4 have been a little harder for casual viewers who haven't seen much previous to just drop in on. Back in Season 1 and most of 2, I had friends drop in on random episodes and they were enjoying it within seconds, as opposed to questioning who's what and what's going on.
