Jackson & Urbaniak on The Best Show on WFMU

If you'be been following on Twitter you may have noticed that James Urbaniak mentioned that he and Jackson Publick would be on WFMU on The Best Show on WFMU, and indeed they were. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but you can listen to the show in the WFMU archives (it's the September 29th one) or with the handy embed thingy below if you like. Enjoy!

If you want to skip around, James and Jackson come on around the 1hr 19 minute mark.

Glad there is an archive. I tried listening live last night but after all the obscure music and listening to host bitch about his head phones i gave up.

That had to be the worst radio show format ever. Such a shame that Jackson & James could not have been on one where they knew what the hell they were doing.

I actually listened all the way into Jackson and James' segment...but yeah..that host is halfway between cool and cruel. I will NEVER think about publishing a book again the same way after that night. (or "writing" a book, for that matter).

But, truth be told, I would 10 times rather listen to an in-studio interview than have the interviewee call in. Can't stand phone-in interviews on the radio :(

So kudos to the guys for braving the wilds of NJ!

Yeah that's just how talk radio guys are. They all love being jerks and hanging up on people, and in general I think they have the right idea because a lot of people tend to ramble and have no idea how to get to the point when they tell a story (or how to not say 'umm' and 'like' every third word) but it ends up coming across as them being terrible people, but they have to keep things moving smoothly for 2 or 3 hours, which is a long time to talk about bullshit and a long time to lose your listeners if some dude starts blabbing about stuff.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
