Update at the usual place with some stuff on The Doctor is Sin, including awesome animation flubs and production nightmares. Also for those curious, season four production has already started:

Am still writing my first solo script for Season 4. Which is terrifying because we're starting production on Season 4 a week from Monday. Writing's been difficult because we're currently editing episode 35 of Season 3, World Leaders has just moved its offices to another floor, we've been doing a lot of interviews lately, we just got the first take of our finale episode back from Korea, and we're in the middle of a wicked heat wave here in New York. Just don't tell my producer on me.

Jackson also notes that Shadowman 9 received the highest ratings the show has gotten to date, which is true. AS's ratings bumper showed 884,000 viewers, which bests the previous high of 698,000 by a good amount.

Between 2 and 3 we had about an 18 month wait, but they didn't even start production on season 3 until several months (I don't remember exactly, but I think it was 4 months) after season 2 ended? If they are already underway (I'll guess they're a month in) on season 4 and season 3 won't end for 3 months then it should be faster by 4+3+1=8 months, which would work out to a 10 month wait... granted there is a lot of guesswork in there, but I think it is probably reasonable to predict an intermission of under a year...

Here's hoping!!

According to the adult swim intro before Sunday's Episode the Shadowman 9 had over 1.8 million viewers. The 884,000 were just the 18-34 demographic. I love this show!

You mention in the notes that this is the first episode that Patrick Warburton does not have a spoken line, perhaps you've corrected the show notes (can't find them) but he is obviously one of the council member voices. It was actually pretty distracting and I hope the next time he does another character on the show he actually changes his voice a bit more.

He's not credited in the cast list at all, and I am going to assume that was correct. The voice you are thinking of was most likely Jackson Publick, who does a pretty good Warburton impression.

wow, that's pretty spot on...I guess we'll have to wait until the DVD commentaries. I'm starting to slip I guess, this weeks episode was the first time I noticed that The Alchemist was the same voice as Master Shake.

How come the Kiss comic book reference didn't make the show notes?

Because I am not sure I get the joke :( Is it just because the comic books have a lot of red? feel free to explain it to me and I will add it

Comic books issued by Marvel (the first one of which contained ink mixed with actual blood donated by the group)Hence the joke that Killinger has enough to print a Kiss Comic book.

This is random but I just thought that I'd mention, that currently the only place to see Venture Brothers season 3 in HD is to download the episodes off of the Xbox live marketplace. Since Cartoon Network isn't broadcasting the episodes in HD. The first two episodes look Amazing!

Oh man, I was wondering if anyone was broadcasting it in HD. I heard something about DirectTV having Cartoon Network in HD which was the major reason for them even making stuff in HD but I had no idea aboout XBL.

According to comments on Jackson's blog, CN HD is just stretching the SD version to fit the screen, and XBL is the only place right now to find it in true HD. Not upscaled sctretched-to-make-them-fat-o-vision.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
