Brand new update over at Jackson's detailing what's going on with season three. Writing is done, storyboarding and animatic-ing are in full swing and directing and other post production will be starting very shortly!

Now that I can look back on a full 13 scripts, I can truthfully say it will be a weird season. We dug deeper than we have before, told richer stories, took some chances (we'll see if they pay off), and, as promised in the commentary for the Season Two DVD, made no intentional Star Wars references. I think we managed to hit just about every semi-important character who's appeared before (with the exception of Baron Ünderbheit--might as well tell you now), including some Season 1 favorites who didn't get much play in season 2. And we introduced plenty of new ones, adding multiple layers of backstory (and forwardstory) to the Team Venture saga.

And of course the usual bevy of backgrounds which promise to turn to stills when animated episodes begin coming in from Korea in a month or so. In HD. Yes, HD.

For those of you keeping track, episodes take around 10 months to animate, meaning if everything stays on track the final episode of the season will be done in about a year, so the show could begin airing in six to eight months. Good, yes?

According to Wikipedia, Sea. 3 is SUPPOSED to start next Spring. It sounds like everything is on track, but who knows what may happen? It just feels way to far away...

Each season of The Venture Bros keeps looking better and better. Especially since this season is going to be in HD. Hopefully this season will get more attention than the last one. The last one was fucking great don't get me wrong, but its just that "Powerless in the Face of Death" didnt even get in the top 3 viewed shows for Sunday. I still mad as fuck that this show hasn't won or been nominated for an Emmy. If "Robot Chicken" can win one, I'm sure this show can too. I wonder why they're are excluding Baron Underbheit from this season. He an interesting character who hasn't had much backstory. Dean is the same way. They should show how he lost his jaw and him taking back his country from Girl Hitler. They SHOULD exclude the characters who the show has mainly been focused on (ex. Dr.V, Brock, Monarch,Dr.Girlfriend. But somehow I doubt they won't do that...................

Hey Kneezy,
I think that Venture Bros. not winning an Emmy is a testement to how great it actually is. Emmy's are like the gold stars on Retarded kids homework: They are only awarded to crappy work, and they don't actually mean anything good has been presented.
As for Underbheit, On the commentary from season 2, Jackson said he is sick of writting for him and Doc mentions Never liked him to begin with.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
