Five Years: Who Would Win Now: Heroes & Scientists
Because Who Would Win was fairly popular and a version with good guys was requested a few times, I figured, why not? The one limit I placed on selecting guys was that everyone had to be presently alive (except Ghost Robot, who was never alive to begin with) which is why Jonas Venture Sr. doesn't appear.
This works the same as the last one. Each round lasts for three days, from noon until noon (eastern time) and you can vote once per hour. After that voting will switch off and I'll build the next round and we'll go on until we have a champion. If a match ends in a tie I'll tally up unique votes (so each individual counts as one vote, even if they voted multiple times) and if it's still a tie after that then a coin flip will determine the winner.
So, who do you vote for? You can vote honestly, as in who you think would really win. Or you can vote with your heart, as in a guy you like best. You can also vote for fun, maybe It's totally up to you! Also many will be happy to note that the seeding and bracket are in the standard format instead of haphazardly put together by me. Now get going!
Voting for the final round ends on October 29 at noon (EST).

Brock is a heavy favorite to win it all in spite of using neither magic nor firearms.
What, he's totally a character. Come on, he does science and stuff. He could win.
Since Ned needs an adult with him at all times he's paired with Sally. Will that help or hurt? We'll find out!
The once-bodyguard of Jonas Venture Sr., Kano is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Plus he's a decent cook.
Sure he spent the first 40+ years of his life in his brother's body, but he seems to have turned his life around since then.
This guy is totally magic, even if he does cheat. He's ranked low but could end up being a force! Time will tell.
Al, like Dr. O, is magic, though a slightly different type of magic I think. Either way being magic seems advantageous.
Much like Doc & Brock, Quymn is less of a threat than Ginnie, though she seems adept enough that it could be beneficial to the team-up.
When they're not quibbling over whatever Pete and Billy can be formidable opponents maybe. I'm sure!
Does whatever a spider can, you know? Plus a beautiful singing voice which I'm sure will help.
Both have formal training with OSI which has made them huge assets to SPHINX, plus they're kind of sassy.
Once ago he would have been a force but now he's a tiny shrunken man so it's going to be a tough battle for him.
Little is known about the captain aside from his narcotics addiction and that he's a decent pirate captain. Could be useful?
He's as old as the rest of the team but since Mermen age slower than humans Otto is basically still in his twenties! That's gotta count for something!
While HELPeR may not be the most expert combatant he certainly shouldn't be underestimated.
They're squishy and not entirely sentient but, uh, there are a lot of them. Strength in numbers?
Some might say the Venture boys are ranked too high, but we'll see about that. Oh how we'll see.
Prostitoooooo!
Doe & Cardholder aren't afraid to use force, which could come in handy here.
As with the rest of Team Venture, Action Man is aged but still very capable, though he is scheduled to die of a stroke soon.
Dr. O has a lot going for him in this competition; mainly that he's magic, which will help I'm sure.
Ghost Robot is a ghost and a robot, he's not dead, okay? And the other guy is friggin huge. Just look at him!
General Treister has years and years of battle and strategic experience which will come in handy in this competition.
Honestly he is probably not much of a threat to anyone but he could surprise everyone... maybe? It could happen!
Hunter may be getting older but he hasn't slowed down at all, plus he has a lot of experience on his side.
A guy with super powers, even those that only work in sunlight, is something to be wary of. He can fly and shoot sunbeams and stuff!
Jefferson isn't really magic (in spite of that one thing) but he's good with a sword. Sadly there are no Blackulas in this bracket.
One's got bionic body parts and the other is god damned bigfoot. I mean, that's a pretty good team-up if I ever saw one.
While the Action Johnny of today may not be much of an opponent he does have nostalgia on his side, which is certainly something.
He may be old, but the Colonel still has all the moves he needs. Not to be underestimated!
Dr. Venture might not be much of a threat but Sgt. Hatred is a heavy contender with a lot of relevant skills!
Little is known about this fellow except that he likes the ladies. Quite a bit.
