Doc & Jackson Take New York
March 24th, 2005, New York, New York. Lots of commas. Anyway, that was the day and place of the annual Adult Swim upfront, and not coincidently the day season two of Venture Bros. was officially announced. Watching the interview is much better, but this is good for people without ears or Real player or something like that.
SwimBuddha: Okay, uh, so this is SwimBuddah with Adult Swim.com.
Jackson: Excellent.
SwimBuddha: We are standing here with uh, Doc Hammer...
Doc: [leaning over into mic] Hello.
SwimBuddha: ...on our left, and Jackson Publick on our right.
Jackson: Hi.
SwimBuddha: And this is the big night of the announcement, finally, uh, that there will be a second season of Venture Brothers.
Doc: Wohoo!
Crowd: Yaaaay!
Jackson: [starts laughing]
Doc: [stepping backwards] I can't!
Jackson: This interview is over!
Doc: I have been- I have been humiliated enough! [weird sound]
[pause]
Jackson: [says something]
SwimBuddha: So you guys excited about getting a chance to do a second season?
Jackson: Go ahead.
Doc: You want me to say everything!
Jackson: Yeah, I do.
Doc: I'm extr- [leans over to the mic again] I'm extra excited.
SwimBuddha: And, uh, have they- is there a date promised? They said 2006...
Jackson: Ahh, oh. Jesus.
Doc: [mutters]
Jackson: Uh, it's when we- no. It's when we finish. We're gonna start writing next week.
SwimBuddha: Okay.
Doc: Spotlight dance!
Jackson: [laughs]
Doc: I was giving you the moment. Then I came in, like, 'oh hey, Jackson Publick'.
Jackson: Yeah, oh, like we just ran into each other.
Doc: [pretends to walk by Jackson]
Jackson: Doc!
Doc: Hey, Jackson Publick! How are ya? Heard we got a new season.
Jackson: Yeah! Let's-
Doc: It's gonna be great!
Jackson: Let's get to it, let's make a TV show! It's gonna be hot.
Doc: It's gonna be funtastic.
Jackson: It's gonna be laugh... tastic.
Doc: I gotta go though! You guys have fun! Yeah! [walks away]
SwimBuddha: Thanks Doc Hammer, great seein' ya.
