Oddly Familiar Yeti Mummy: "Bot Seeks Bot" Episode Guide

The episode guide for "Bot Seeks Bot" is finally up. This guide was one of the more difficult to write since there were so many callbacks to previous episodes, as well as major reveals. As such, I'm sure I missed some things, so if you see anything wrong or think something is missing feel free to post it in the comments here or use the handy contact form if you prefer. Even if it's just to correct a grammar mistake. We should all strive for excellence. Enjoy!
Great job, as always. Very thorough, particularly as to the members of the Council.

I can't believe I missed the Sri Lankan Devil Bird call-back! I guess I just assumed that Brock had killed and road-hauled lots of villains and henchmen in the past, and didn't connect Shore Leave's costume to the "Face me if you dare!" guy.

Any additions/corrections I can think of are too trivial to worry over (e.g., I think Boggles is buried in a Bozo the Clown-themed casket). I'd leave the guide as-is.

This was such a good episode!

Just nitpicking, but along with all the other Season 3 callbacks, Shadowman 9 was the first episode of season 3, not 2.

I don't know if this fits the criteria for the capsule, but I think it's something that should be taken note of.

I was rewatching Shadowman 9 last night for shits and giggles to see if all of the silhouettes matched up to the revealed Guild members (Answer: sort of).

Anyway, I noticed that Don Hell's silhouette spoke with an entirely different voice- he was voiced by James Urbaniak, and sounded more Phantom Limb-esque. I'm pretty sure that was the only time the silhouette had spoken, so I had forgotten about it entirely until this episode aired.

So, it's going to take a whole lot of fanon to explain that away, but I thought it was an interesting point nonetheless.

Yeah, there are a couple discrepancies like that, especially in that episode because I don't think the Council of 13 was an established idea beyond what they were in that episode. Councilman 1 also has a normal voice in that episode whereas in season four ("Revenge Society") he speaks with his current inflection, though there's no filtering on his voice in that episode either. Still, might be worth pointing out.

The ones that do not match up were replaced by the current ones.

Or a "wizard did it."

A lot of them seemed to speak with a more, shall we say, well-spoken inflection in Shadowman 9. Steppenwolf for example. I feel we can forgive that because they were speaking to a non-Councilman and so may have wanted to take extra steps to protect their identities. Done Hell's voice change did grate on me though. I didn't realise it was Urbaniak previously.

I thought the music during the driving scene was Munsters-inspired (since Steppenwolf's car seems a nod to the Munsters' car) and not Wacky Races.

Yeah, that was definitely a Munsters sound-alike.

I didn't know the Munsters had a car! This changes everything!

I seem to remember reading that Rob Zombie bought the actual car used. Or maybe that he was planning to buy it.

The car Steppenwolf drives is definitely calling back to the old Munsters Dragula car. While Wacky Races did have a car similar to that (The Creepy Coupe driven by the Gruesome Twosome)- the car Steppenwolf drives is a dead ringer for the Munsters car. I found it funny that Steppenwolf said he got his car and tricked it out in 1966- which is the same year the Munsters went off the air.

Does anyone have a clue as to where one could find an mp3 or such of the caliope version of the funeral march that was played when they lowered the Clue Clown's casket into the grave. The show has too much voice over and additional sounds to really get a sample of it.

Okay, Venturoos. Here's what ya get for the Extras, at least on the DVD version. I felt it was a little light, but that's just my opinion. Deleted Scenes (as always) - Some are B&W sketches with the dialog, others are animated with the dialog. Ghost in the Pro-Blem - An extended view of the distorted images of events from the Pro-BLEM's point of view. Maybe there are some clues hidden in it if you like frame-by-frame advancing. Maybe not. Sirena Goes Off... - Cristin Milioti ad-libbing way more dialog than the script calls for. Poor Rocco. Promo - Basically the season 7 promo. Maybe there's Easter Eggs to find. I haven't done any extensive searching yet. If anyone finds any feel free to post them here!
