Did any one notice the ending (Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend floating off in the escape cocoon) looked a little like the End of the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only"?

I am glad you identified the James Bond movie. I recognized it as a Bond moment, but I couldn't recall which one.

It made me think that Dr. Girlfriend is going to say something like "I'm a secret agent" or "I'm a spy sent to keep an eye on you on behlf of the guild" or some such.

i keep forgetting that i'm as old (or perhaps a bit older than) Jackson and Doc. i keep assuming that things like the ending of The Spy Who Loved Me would be obvious and not worth mentioning. but maybe a lot of you were born AFTER Darth Vader revealed he was Luke's dad...
