Yeah, preggo = gross, but at least it's now totally sealed that Dr. Girlfriend is and always has been a chick. My shrine can stay up. I gotta see if I can track down the first Showdown on youtube, and watch it and this part straight, as one long episode, I think I'd like it more that way.
I'm still kinda spaced after watching it though... I mean really, what? Oct. 14, 2006, 12:31am

But she also denied that she was pregnant. I'd like to think that she wouldn't say she wasn't and then turn around a month later and say that she is. That'd be kinda lame. Though I suppose she could have not known it or have conceived afterwards, in which case it'll be The Monarch's.

She didn't really deny she was pregnant; she changed the subject.
So here's the possibilies: she knew she was pregnant, and it's either The Monarch's or Phantom Limb's. Or she did not yet know she was pregnant, and it's either The Monarch's or Phantom Limb's, but she found out later that she was pregnant (she might have still been avoiding the issue or "in denial" when the Monarch asked her the question at the beginning of part one of this episode).
Can't wait for season three; we'll find out then presumably. Oct. 16, 2006, 2:50am

It only takes two weeks after conception to discover pregnancy. It's possible Dr. G wasn't pregnant when she and The Monarch met in the motel, but, well, it's not like they stopped having sex that month, so it's safe to assume that sometime during their bedroom escapades she could have conceived.

I have watched that episode plenty of times, you still don't know what happened between Dr. Girlfriend and Rusty. Yes, she injected him w/that crazy butterfly serum, but that doesn't prove she and him didn't do anything. Let's put it this way, would you be suprised if i was right? I think not!

Unless of course you think she stuck a probe up Rusty's ass and artificially....ummm.....nevermind you know what I mean. Since she was there to inject him with the serum and not to steal his sperm, I think the only logical conclusion is that she did her job and escaped, and the confused/drugged Rusty just assumed he "scored" since he can't remember what happened. Plus Dr. Girlfriend denied she slept with him and so far I've seen absolutely zero evidence that she is attracted to Dr. Venture.

If Dr. Girlfriend was really attracted to Rusty, why not make love and THEN zap him with the serum? Why knock him out before? And as for the morning, we don't see what happened but Rusty was extremely groggy so Dr. Girlfriend probably told him to go get coffee as a way of getting him out of the room so she could make her escape. If she really wanted to make love to Rusty, her chance to do so was before injecting him with the serum. I really don't think she would want to have made love to a groggy, drugged Rusty who was in the process of turning into a giant insect larva. That would be rather gross and her first instinct would to have been to make her getaway at the first opportunity.
Later she would regret what she did, give Rusty a sympathy date, but no opportunity for sex; remember Rusty is about to become a gross insect larva, so she would not want to be in bed with THAT....and finally the final visit to administer the anti-venom.
I mean I can't conclusively prove she didn't have sex with Dr. Venture based on the actual events shown on screen, but it just doesn't make any sense given her character and the situation. But if it makes you happy to think she and Rusty did the nasty, go ahead and think that. Oct. 16, 2006, 9:36am

You put up a hell of an arguement, i mean, you've really thought this through. I'm not here to criticize what ppl may think, i mean, this is a twisted-animated series on the cartoon network, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! I think forums are great to come and get your thoughts out and to view other ppls points. Your points seem to be very logical on this topic, but you have to remember that this show does always seem logical, there are lots of suprises. Whatever happens next season, i'm sure it'll be great!

And since I'm beating a dead horse, let's not forget the humorous angle with Dr. Venture: he said he didn't lose his virginity until he was 24, IIRC, and the boys are 19 years old (or would be if the originals were still alive), so what, he's had sex maybe once in 43 years, but he THINKS he's had sex twice! Joke's on you, Rusty!
