I'm not surprised, and it was expected... but damn, the ratings for the S7 premiere are not exactly great.
Top 50 Cable Telecasts:
#15 - Venture Bros. S7 Premiere - 0.660 viewers per million.
I understand things are going all streaming, early online release, lack of promotion, lack of reruns, blah blah blah. I just mean that number seems bad when you look at R&M getting 2.5 million viewers. Aug. 7, 2018, 8:14pm

Dang. I don't understand the number of people whom (I think it's whom because of the "to" coming up but I don't know) when I talk to them about Venture Bros. has either never heard of it or is like meh, when the Venture Brothers to me is proof that God exists and that he loves me.
I think (hope) that [adult swim] has understood over the years that yes, VB doesn't get the greatest ratings but has a solid hardcore and that Quality improves their brand over all, also I think they might be fans themselves.
In other news, Since the PROBLEM light seems to correspond to Jonas being awake and it first came on in Careers in Science [1x02] (We're here. || So what's the problem? || The light went on. || Oh, that's helpful. || And... that's never happened before.) and crashed shortly thereafter in Guess Who's Coming to State Dinner? [2x09] I wonder if Jonas crashed Gargantua-1 to get back to Earth.
(I haven't seen episode 2 so if it's answered there I wouldn't know) Aug. 8, 2018, 7:18pm

I see Robot Chicken still averages one million viewers and it just finished its ninth season in July. Ultimately, the new AT&T overlords may not understand the low ratings, compare the show to mega-hit R&M, which is similar in many ways, and want V Bros. gone. According to the artbook, it costs well over one million to make two episodes. So, probably around 750k per episode. AT&T Turner Broadcasting may not want to keep paying for it going forward.
However, Mike Lazzo could potentially keep it going as long as he wants though.
Basically, I wouldn't be shocked if season eight of V Bros. is the final one.
or
Mike Lazzo could keep the show going into the 2020s.
Only time will tell. Aug. 8, 2018, 11:17pm

I'd be fine with season 8 being the final season (maybe a 9) IF they wrap it all up right. Not that Doc and JP would ever do this, but you don't want the show to keep trudging along past it's prime a la Simpsons, South Park or *gag* Family Guy.
Also, I would hope the execs would take digital sales into account. I pre order the seasons on Amazon and watch the eps on Mondays when I get home from work. A coworker of mine waits until the season is complete then buys it on iTunes or such and binge watches them all in one or two nights. Aug. 9, 2018, 6:54pm
