I've long held the theory that Jonas didn't really die. I guess I was semi right.
*Episode 2 SPOILER* - When we learn that Red Death and some other guild members had infiltrated the crew of Gargantua 1 and were present at "Movie Night" to kidnap Jonas I'm betting it was Jonas who opened the cargo bay doors, because he'd totally let his own guys die to save his skin. Phantom Spaceman!
