Amazing start with an unexpected crash ending on multiple story lines! So glad the best animated show ever put on television is back with new episodes. It's scare-a-Brock-spooky!

Thoughts:
1) Hank is awesome, but I didn't get the reference to why he was spooked while over at Sirena's place.
2) I know I missed Dr. Orpheus, but, wow was the Triad awesome in this episode.
3) So glad to see the tie-in to the old looming ending of Season 1 episode Careers in Science. We thought that ending was tied up when Gargantua-1 crashed to earth, but that crash never had the emotional weight that the music at the end of Careers in Science implied. Boy did this deliver!
4) Always love to watch Doc being dismissive to to anything annoying him. Typical Doc.

Off-topic: Very disappointed to see Venture Bros. is no longer on the nightly [as] schedule. This show deserves much more exposure; a new generation of [as] viewers can only fall in love with this show if regularly exposed to it.
Super Off-topic: Was binge-watching the series in preparation for the new season and couldn't remember where the extra intro-scene for The Family That Slays Together, Stays Together-Part 1 was hidden on the DVDs. Hopefully my fellow Venture Bros. fanboys can help me find it.

I assume for Hank being spooked, it was one of those twin/clone things. That or he's chipped, so he's getting feedback from the system.

The "lost" S3 opening you speak of is actually on the S4 blu-ray.

off topic: interesting tidbit from the Art of Venture Bros book that went on sale.

General Manhowers the guy in the government Rusty is always trying to sell stuff too was a member of the Boys Brigade with Phantom Limb and Professor Impossible. He's the Ben Grimm looking guy with the V on his shirt. This comes from the entry for Now Museum - Now You Don't.

(I always thought the guy with the V on his shirt was going to turn out to be Sgt. Hatred)

That's a pretty awesome 'Brooklyn'/Dan Turpin reference.
