I liked it much better the third time. That's never happened.
It is definitely a whopping episode in every aspect.

I was obviously very, very distracted during the first two original viewings.

It all really clicked. I liked how Venture and the Monarch both were cleared at the end. 21 made him make that call, but presumably let him go and buried his mechanical legs instead, ending his career but not his life.

All the contemplative character soliloquies dovetail soo beautifully during the gunshot, fuck it, that should've been the series finale moment... but they actually kill Dr. Venture.

Loved that the moon replaced the lighting bolt in the background during the title card and we got swinging end credit music to go out on.

Lots of things were just better the third time.

It works better than I thought, I was being far too hard on this episode.

Now, I'll give it a 9/10. (My ambivalence knows no bounds!!!)

I'm excited for the finale, and we know exactly what will happen from the previews: Red Death plays a big role, almost every character is in disguise as another character, it's all plays a part in the big sting operation, Dr. Venture goes into hiding at Rose's, a Guild sniper targets Blue Morpho while Hunter (and almost everyone else) is in disguise at Venture's to draw him out. 21 and the Monarch go to Rose's dressed as Guild operatives, the Monarch talks to Red Death in while both wear generic civilian clothing.

The last V6 episode is almost upon us!
