Stuyvesant University, if you were wondering, is named after Peter Stuyvesant, the last Dutch director-general of New Netherland, which eventually became part of Manhattan
He was missing the lower part of his leg. The school's motto, according to this week's Shirt Club shirt is "Passus Sum Cum, Ligneo Cruris." This translates to "I have suffered with wooden leg."

If Hank's comment at the beginning about a wooden leg seemed odd to you, as it did me, here's the rationale.

I'm glad people are more intelligent than myself. Very informative! That info. is definitely V deep! I was seriously wondering what he actually meant by that line.

That line didn't actually bug me until I saw Jackson tweet about this week's shirt, found here:

I was curious about the Latin, and translated it to see what it meant. Then the pieces started to fall into place.

What I'm more interested in, actually, is that Stuyvesant University shares a color scheme with the Guild of Calamitous Intent, and initials with State University, an already established hotbed of guild recruitment.

Or maybe I'm just connecting dots that aren't there.

Knowing Jackson and Doc, I wouldn't put it past them to connect it all together.

I believe there was different Latin text on the university seal on the book Brock was holding in one scene... can someone get a screenshot/say what that text was?

Sic transit gloria - Nihil sanctisne

Two Rushmore references. As defined in that film: "Glory fades" and "Is nothing sacred?"

Weird. I wonder why they did that. It seems unlike them.
