Good episode. Unfortunately, there was a medical mistake. When Dr. Girlfriend asks if Dr. Venture is allergic to epinephrine, they both assume that it is an anesthetic. Unfortunately, epinephrine is not an anesthetic: it's just the chemical name for adrenaline, which is often used to counteract the effects of severe allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock.
I imagine Dr. Girlfriend was going to give Dr. Venture an epidural injection to provide analgesia for reducing the dislocated hip. In that case, a local anesthetic such as lidocaine or an opioid such as morphine would be appropriate. Epinephrine as an epidural would probably be a terrible thing to do.
Sorry, but once you have a degree in a medical field, that kind of stuff gets to you.

I got that immediately as well. It bothered the fuck outta me, even without a medical degree (mine is in biology). Did no one working on the show think to say something about that? I imagine that scripts are reviewed extensively; I have no idea how none of the people working on it were familiar with allergy medication. No one there has an EPI-pen?
