To Audrey and policegirl01: obviously D and J leave enough open so they can have someplace to "go" later. I assumed when Orpheus [!--Ed.] held his hands he was sensing when Action Man would die since he is a Necrophile . . . I mean . . . Necromancer :P
D and J could EASILY work that into Action Man thinking about his wife and when will she finally die so he can go one being insane and all of that and Orpheus answers him.
You may also be right, Audrey, regarding Gary's feelings. Maybe he was so disillusioned--yay!--with the Monarch when he made his break he made his break with 24 and the need to gain justice. As you said, the opportunity arose, he happily acted on it.
