After a re-watch, a few other things I loved about this episode:

1. Thirwell's updated take on the spy movie theme.
2. Paget Brewster as Amber Gold. I had no idea it was her until I checked the end credits. I'm so used to her "Thrilling Adventure Hour," pre-war Hollywood voice that I missed it.
3. Hatred's measurements. 48 triple-Ds. Holy jeez.
4. Dean's drink of choice this season? Orange Fanta.
5. Shoreleave's "Teen Beat" pin-ups.
6. All the hot action scenes. Those were some of the best in the show's history.
7. Something no one's really talked about: Hank coming to bat for "Uncle Vatred." I don't know how far Molotov was willing to go to complete her assignment, but it certainly seemed like she was aiming directly at Hatred. If not for Hank/Destiny, the Ventures would have been in the market for a new bodyguard.

Add in Brock's moose-call yell when he sees Mol straddle Monstroso!

Man, I'd forgotten about that. I haven't seen "Harvey Birdman" in years. I'll have to put it on my re-watch list.

Definitely worth a rewatch. I recommend getting the DVDs, because there's some great special features and it makes it easier to catch all the running gags.

I thought Hank rescuing Hatred and calling him family was a really sweet moment, and it showed how far he's come since refusing to acknowledge Hatred as his bodyguard. Of course, Hatred was knocked out so he didn't even hear it.

My thoughts exactly. It looks as if Hank cares enough about Hatred to risk life and limb to save him. Of course, he's still only marginally competent as a hero, but I think you have to give him props for trying.

Yeah I agree you guys. I always like Hatred, you know... despite the fact that lots of the internet doesn't. Uncle Vatred is really getting fleshed out. The "Mad Pierrot" flashback from ep. 2, the bonding between him and hank this ep, but not forget him and Dean in the previous one. "you're the best dean" That was also really sweet, i think. ALSO McCulloch's acting for hatred is totally underappreciated. "you're loosin 'em doc." "too many cigars for these ol' lungs" - Sublime!
