Her inclusion in the episode was the one thing I disliked about it. I hope they aren't going to make a habit of blatantly injecting their political views into the show. There is more than enough propaganda on "entertainment" television already.

Bachman is rather a bipartisanly recognized fool. As a negative example . . . she unites people.

Yeah, the character doesn't seem like a comment about Republicans, more an indictment of callous, vain and ignorant political pursuits.
