My one complaint is all the new episodes have mutants or zombies in them: the prom had fly mutants, Halloween had zombies, Cleansuit had mutants, and next weeks episode has animal hybrid human mutants.

Well, most people will see this as a good thing... but I would like more aliens and robots dammit... oh, well.... IGNORE ME!!!!!

I meant new bad robot killing machines that cause chaos as the music cues up.

"But where are my aliens... Al.... I need my aliens!"

Can Dr. Theopolis really be considered a "robot"? He has no locomotion of his own, or any sort of moving parts at all. This is from Wikipedia: "Theopolis, or Theo for short, was an intelligent computer who was part of Earth's Computer Council."

So, both Billy AND Augustus were wrong! Unless they ever referred to Theo as a robot on the show I suppose.

I think a robot is considered anything that can act independently and think on its own? Though based on what I am reading about Nomad (having not seen the episode), there's nothing to indicate that it's also not also a robot. 'Robot' is a pretty vague term either way.

I suppose so. Just look at the origin of word from R.U.R.

Well, technically Twiki, Dr. Theopolis and Nomad were props from TV shows and/or movies, so there's only two robots. Maybe just one actually, since I don't think the walking eye ever acted of its own accord.

Wouldn't it be great to have a book of who is who from this show? Doc mentioned he did a whole write up on Dr. Dugong. Sure there is something (sea) deep beyond the chemi-fusion, & love care line.

I believe the term 'robot' is being defined on how it was referenced on the television show or movie. I believe Twiki, Dr. Theopolis, HELPeR, and the Walking Eye were each called a robot at some point on their respective television shows, but Nomad was never called a robot on Star Trek. I believe the quizboys are allowing each universe to define what a 'robot' in in their world. I believe that is being quite particular on the meaning of a word in a question, but that's just how ruthless the quizboy world of quizing is!

Great. Now I'll have to get season 1 of Buck Rogers and watch every episode. And maybe that one where the Space Vampire seduces Col. Deering twice!
