Anyone else think that Torrid might be dead? When Al first called up Watch to get an explanation for a "Rusty Venture", Watch buts in with, "You?! I told you that we're not responsible for arches terminated by a third party." Was this line meant for Al or was another caller talking with Watch before he started speaking with Al?

Yeah, I think the implication there was that Torrid is either dead *or* The Order of the Triad thinks he's dead. In 'The Better Man,' after Torrid freezes (?) The Outrider, one of them (Al, I think) makes a comment about "we say we killed Torrid..."

Yeah, that was Al, although I'm starting to doubt if Torrid really did die. He asked the Outrider to kill him but it's hard to say exactly what happened since they were using magic.

And since Torrid teleports, it is entirely possible that he just BAMFed away, as opposed to disintegrated.

I'm just guessing that Torrid escaped after sending the Outrider to hell in The Better Man. The phone conversation between Al and Watch might mean that the Outrider had his revenge on Torrid.
