Pete is playing G-String Warrior. G-string is both the guitar string that plays the note G and a thong.

It may just be me, but "The Investors" seem to be a cross between "The Gentlemen" from the Buffy episode Hush and "The Idea Men" from The Tick.

From the "it's probably only me" department, Hank and Dean seem to be modeled after Schneider and Wopat.

Also I think the General Consolidated Insurance/Guild connection is due to Monstroso - they mention that whoever is behind the Investors has access to Guild funds.
