Maybe, but what I'm getting at is maybe Monstroso and KG made deals with the devil and their health issues are ironic fate results. Like, KG got out of his life sentence but at the cost of getting out of life and Monstroso got great power but a body that can't support it. I think maybe the investors are working for a lower power if you know what I mean, and that's why they're magic.

I would like to add something to this:
*King probably did that but it's a double whammy: He probably did get out of guild trouble with the investors help, BUT they made it so he would get cancer. That way he would be forced to spend the rest of his money on a quick death.
*As for Monstroso he probably used his funds to help the investors in exchange for power. But knowing his double crossing nature, they used heart troubles to keep him in their employ to use his special tempting talkents

Remember back in the first season when The Monarch was giving his Scared Straight speech and sold Dean to King Gorilla for some cigarettes? And in the opener for this season The Monarch made a faux pas by giving KG a cartoon of cigarettes for his welcome home party? The assumption has to be that KG smokes but there was never time to actually show him smoking.
