Nice job. Two things- Monstroso's name is a reference to a character from Pinocchio, a whale that swallows pretty much everybody three quarters of the way through, so 21 wanting to wail on Monstroso is a pun of sorts. Just in case anybody hasn't seen Pinocchio.

Also, and I'm not so sure of this one, but Monstroso's repeated cigar offers may be a veiled MST3K reference. I wouldn't put it past them, as The Invisible Hand of Fate is possibly a reference to Manos, The Hands of Fate, a movie made famous by Mystery Science Theater 3000. The cigar thing would be a reference to Fugitive Alien, specifically the character Captain Joe, who frequently offers cigars as well, if it is indeed an MST3K reference. I could be reading into it too far though.
