I have to agree with Joe: the pedophilia joke was hilarious when it started in Caged Bird, but it gets less funny each time. At this point, Sgt Hatred is getting to be more annoying than Dean with all his constant whining. Neither of those characters is developing at the pace of the others and they're beginning to bog down the otherwise fantastic storyline.

Yeah I agree. I mean it's not like how someone already mentioned he is a man fighting an addiction, it's not like he isn't trying to move on from his wife who he watched gangbanged by his former henchman, and there is certainly no character value of him trying to establish a non-sexual relationship with Hank. I think we should also completely ignore the issue of all the Ventures constantly reminding him he's not Brock and how he deals with that. Yup, no interesting growth or depth from Ol' Hatred.

Hatred needs more love.

The pedophilia thing probably makes some people uncomfortable for whatever reason. It is a bit of a touchy subject, but the show is completely brutal in so many other ways that I guess eventually they had to find something that people don't like.

Yeah, but I guess that his beef was that Hatred wasn't developing as fast as the other, not that he had no development. It's a fast-paced show with a tremendous amount of stuff going on, maybe he felt that there was already enough going on and that Hatred was detracting from the other story lines too much. Whatever. I have no idea. But interesting that he brought up Dean...

Honestly, I'm beyond the uncomfortable thing.
As I said, it was funny during "Showdown, Part I"
Then it did get to be a little uncomfortable.
Then it got to be annoying.
Then with Capt Sunshine, it was like "Here's even MORE of it, how ORIGINAL!"
Now it's just, as I said, ENOUGH ALREADY!
