More similarities to Batman (yes, I am a huge Batman nerd):

The statue outside of Captain Sunshine's mansion says "Wonderboy III - So long, old chum" This references: the many different Robins (there have been 5 in continuity, plus a 6th (Carrie Kelly) who is generally well-liked out of continuity), the Jason Todd memorial in the Batcave (Todd's empty Robin uniform encased in glass), and the Adam West Batman frequently using the phrase "old chum" on the old tv series.

Desmond is an obvious parallel to Alfred Pennyworth.

Hank saying he was in the circus references the first Robin Dick Grayson's origin as a child circus performer.

Captain Sunshine's car, other than the color scheme, is a lot like the Batmobile. And Scorpio having a Scorpion-themed car is very Batman-ish as well. Back in the day all of Batman's enemies had a -mobile. Jokermobile (which we all know from the Christmas episode), Catwoman's Catmobile... hell, Killer Moth had a Mothmobile.

Oh, and this isn't relevant or anything, but the giant penny came from this guy in 1947:

Not Two-face, like many people seem to think. There was an episode of the Batman cartoon (with Kevin Conroy!) where their universe's giant penny did come from Two-face, but the real origin is that penny-themed villain.

Yeah, the penny was originally from Penny Plunderer, but it was pretty much retconed to be from Two Face at this point. I think the animated series was where that started. I thought about mentioning that in the capsule but it didn't seem too relevant, but I might still add it.

The other stuff is good too, thanks!

There was a Two-Face comic where Batman is tied to a giant two sided coin--based on the Two-Face coin--which is flipped at a bed of spikes. Batman is DOOMED!--since his mass should force the coin to land Batman-down.

But . . . due to his Somthing Something Bat-Magnetic Thingy Bat-thing . . . he repels. I thought that coin was kept in the Batcave . . . but I guess I was wrong.

Curses!

But, yeah, it is a great hommage to Batman and Super Huge Steve Cobert Sucks Kudos to Conroy for doing the part!
