I don't believe that 24 died.

1. We couldn't hear him say anything before the explosion
2. He looks very similar to other Monarch henchmen (as opposed to 21)
3. There was a LONG time between when Helper stole the car and when it drove onto the battlefield
4. Notice that he got out on the wrong side (he was seat belted into the left side, not the right)

maybe 24 didnt say anything... but his flaming head did come flying out of the freshly blownup car that he had been sitting in......

*A* flaming head, not necessarily his. Remember he looks exactly the same as all the generic Monarch minions. The only way we can recognize him is by his Ray Romano voice.

It's definitely 24's head. You can recognize him by his chin, which none of the generic henchmen have. It even has the same expression as the disembodied 24 head on the Shirt of the Month Club website.

If you watch the scene where HELPeR is driving wildly into the crowd you see 24 sitting in the middle back seat, yelling and not buckled up, so he probably got the belt unbuckled between the car leaving the Cocoon and driving into the crowd of henchmen. There's then the long pause between the car stopping and the car exploding, but right before the explosion 24 gets out, waves and then the car explodes. I don't even know why another henchman would get in the car like that. It's possible of course, but I guess we'll find out eventually.
