A few random thoughts on "The Family That Slays Together, Part II"

Adult Swim better green light a season 5 pretty soon or Jackson and Doc are going to spend all of season 4 tying up loose ends.

Did I detect a bit of Elvis in The Cleaner

Who pushed the detonate button on the explosives attached to H.E.L.P.E.R.? Dr. MTM left the remote in the cocoon. Was it one of the moppets or someone else?

Patriotic Guy isn't Teddy Roosevelt. :(

Brock with a shaved head looks a bit like Ben Bailey the Host of Cash Cab on the Discovery Channel.

Could there really be a missing Venture Sister named Dawn? I know this seems like a throw away joke but, Jackson and Doc have a way of turning throwaway jokes into full blown characters.

How will 21 survive without his running buddy 24. I foresee a "Search for Spock" type episode. Perhaps. 21 seeks Orpheus' help in resurrecting his dead buddy.

I can't believe Hunter turned on Brock like that. All the father figures on the show are pretty horrible.

Dawn reference was from Love-Bheits. Also first mention of retard strength.

That episode was big on Star Wars references. This episode seem to have a number Dune references. The OSI ship kinda looked like the emperor's ship, the cod-pieces on the clones. Any others?

"Long lost sister Dawn" was a reference to the neo-shark-jumping plot shakeup in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

No it wasn't, it was a reference to when Ãœnderbheit was going to marry Dean, he sent the Venture's an inventation that said "To you daughter, Dawn"

Hank replied "I have a sister!? Does Dean know!?"

I rewatched the last quarter of the episode a couple times and the only ones who could have pushed the detonator (aside from a random henchman wandering around the Cocoon, which would be lame) was the moppets. They are totally absent from the episode after the Monarch tells them to ready his battle suit, and Dr. Girlfriend didn't take the remote with her when she left the Cocoon. They're also really the only ones with a reason to push the button at that point in the episode because nobody else really wants 24 dead.

Good catch on the detonator button. I didn't even think about that.

Brock must have figured out he was set up. That's why he quit. Keep the family away while he goes after Molotov and Hunter. That'll probably be the plot of the first episode or two of season 4. My guess anyway.

Who killed 24? It's like a who shot JR thing, huh. Hope they don't go that way with it.

Rusty can always create more clone slugs. He could even clone 24. Hope not, but he could.
